Serious question. Are Pokémon really so weird to most people here? A lot of people I've talked to say stuff like, "animals where I come from can't call down lightning or breathe fire"... I'm gonna be honest with you, your animals sound kinda boring.

[ speaking of which, there's one such Pokémon -- a Raichu -- sitting on his lap. every once in a while, there seems to be a crackle of electricity that sparks around its cheeks. Volkner is utterly unfazed, even when some of them seem to actually hit him. ]

... Ah. Another question. I'm in Crystalden now, but I haven't left very much... what are the other districts like? Anything interesting to see?

[The video feed turns on to show a mechanical girl in a summer school uniform, a troubled look on her face. She gives a heavy sigh, before making her announcement, her speech carrying a strange rendition of a Kansai Bronx accent:]

A'ight, I flew around practically everywhere, and I've still got nuthin' about this place. Sorry I couldn't track down anythin' useful, guys. I'll keep lookin', though.

[Now that's been over with, it's time to move on to her second subject. She'd really like people's opinion on something. Her eyes practically light up with happiness as she smiles, showing that she's quite excited about this subject.]

... Anyway. There are schools in this district, ain't there? Ya think they'd let someone like me attend...? I'd really like that. [She lets out a small chuckle.] Heh. Maybe I can even be th' Student Council President again.

[Can robots be Student Council Presidents, though? She seems sad upon realizing that.]

Just kiddin'. I know that ain't ever gonna happen...

[ The first thing that shows up on the feed is something that looks a bit like a motorcycle, though there seem to be a few key components missing, like the brakes, the digital screen (which looks more like it's been ripped out than carefully removed), and a few other things. At the very least, the Momentum core which powers the D-Wheel is sitting off to the side, as dim as it'd been when it was still part of the machine. The entire thing looks a bit dirty with some scratches as if someone rushed to dismantle it.

And from the look on the face of the man that's sitting next to the D-Wheel, frown deep and brows furrowed as he sets the his communication device down and works on taking out the components of the engine that help it run on Momentum... it wasn't him that did it. ]

So, Momentum doesn't work here at all. [ Admittedly, the idea that it doesn't makes him feel a little homesick. ] Unfortunately, that's the only energy source I've ever worked with when building anything. I could probably use some help with a basic engine.

[ He could probably do it himself, but he'd rather have someone who knows exactly what they're doing actually making sure he's doing it right, especially since he doesn't particularly like the idea of just taking whatever he can without having to pay for it. Building a bike out of scraps that have been thrown away is different from just... taking whatever nice part is sitting in a storefront. It doesn't sit well with him at all. He lifts a screwdriver to clench between his teeth and leans in close to try to work on something inside of the D-Wheel, then takes the tool to tighten whatever it is. Once that's done, he sits up and presses a button that releases his Duel Disk from the dash, and he sighs in relief mumbling something about at least getting that fixed.

... Duel Disks are serious business, okay. Especially when he only has the one. ]

Has anyone else had issues with finding things of theirs dismantled after arriving?

[The view from the top of one of the buildings of Crystalden. She had grown weary of walking around looking for a place to live that she decided to take a break and look for a high place to see what the city looked like as a whole. It had a soft glow that made the atmosphere seem...somewhat calm.]

Let's leave the introductions for later. I don't really know who's watching this but I wanted to share the view with you guys. It's really pretty here...

[A sigh, followed by a soft chuckle]

Reminds me of Sunyshore, I could only imagine what could happen if Volkner got a hold of the controls of this place.

So what's everyone up to?

[As the feed starts, a black-haired woman with red highlights and pale skins appears on the feed.]

To anyone who missed my first video post... Hello. My name is Lucy, one of the seven Frontier Brains of Hoenn.

[With formalities out of the way, she continues. No, she's not going to say anything more about herself, sorry.]

Introductions aside, this message is mainly directed towards my fellow Pokémon trainers... I would like to speak with you all personally, after this announcement has been made... Pay attention, as this will be important. After speaking with the "queen" of this "country", I discovered that there are, in fact, various places where we are able to heal our Pokémon... The first few are located in Orlea; speak with Lea if you wish to find them...

The next location is in Whitefield, supposedly it is a river with healing properties. However, she did state it's possible that this is a merely lie crafted by the fairies, so I will investigate and report back with my findings... If anyone wishes to join me in this investigation, contact me here.

That is all.
