Hope I got this thing turned on.
[Wrestling with the camera, the first thing he shows to the screen is a sheepish grin. He looks tired and a little rugged, like he's been in a fight with a thorn bush or hasn't slept in a day or two, and the distinct grooves of a tree trunk are seen overtaking the surroundings behind him. He shifts the camera to allow it to get a good view of a sleeping Karen, the crocodile calmly sleeping at his feet, scaly jaw overlapping his ankles.]
Uh. Hey there, everyone. I'm Jim and that was my friend, Karen. [He pauses and raises his hat with a tan thumb, tipping the hat in greeting.]
I haven't been able to explore much since I arrived here, so I was wondering if anyone could spare some information about the other districts and their inhabitants? I'm currently in Highcrest, so I've gotten a decent grasp at what seems to be normal over here.
[While suddenly asking a world full of strangers about information and advice upon introduction doesn't seem completely wise, Jim decides to roll with it - he wasn't getting much of anywhere by himself, and frankly, it never did hurt to ask.]
Also, although I doubt it, if anyone is from my home world or knows the term Duel Monsters, I wouldn't mind speaking with you. [He flashes his deck holster with a small smile before glancing off-screen to calm a suddenly waking Karen.] Anyway, that's all I have to say. Pleasure to meet you all.
[He pauses, then speaks, tone almost completely void of the aloof pitch he once had.] Good luck to you all, too.
