 [He's not really sure what to say so he stares at the camera, playing with his wrist bracers, chewing on his lip. As the camera focuses, his face hardens, his eyes glinting at whoever might be watching. His body relaxes, a pointed effort, and he grins his usual shit-eating grin, finally addressing his audience.]

Anyone have Duel Monsters cards?

[He'll be damned if he doesn't duel, even while he's stuck in this place.]

[Oh hey, Judai knows this guy! It's ... wait, no, it's not Atem. It's the Other Yugi-san! There is a distinct difference that Judai picks up on almost immediately - as if he innately knows that his self-preservation depends on it.]

I've got a deck! [He grins at the screen.] I'd love to take you on again, Yugi-san! [Pause.] Uh... Other... Yugi-san, I mean... [Wow, no, this is gonna get confusing.]

Oh ... You know who I am?

[Again? Duel him ... Again? This person doesn't really look familiar, but then again, Yuugi can't claim to remember every single person he's ever dueled in his (short) life.]

Well, I'm not one to turn down a duel, but ...

Heh.

[His lips twitch up into a grin.]

Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?

[At least he can sense the duelist's spirit in this one. That's something.]

Oh, heh. [Judai rubs the back of his head a little awkwardly.] I guess you don't remember, huh? Seems like people are from all sorts of different times around here.

[He grins then and proceeds with the introduction.] My name's Judai! It's nice to meet you again, Other Yugi-san! Even if you don't remember it!

[He blinks slowly and then nods.]

Judai ... Got it. Well, I guess it's nice to meet you, too.

[His answer is holding up a card for the camera--backward, of course, no need to go and show him what it is--and a faint smile.]

I think you'll find there's a few people here who do.

[Yuugi takes a moment to look the other over. He has a pleasant face, but there's something about him that Yuugi can't quite place, though he's not sure what it is. Really, he'd only be sure if he were to duel him.]

Heh.

[He snorts.]

Well, at least something stays the same.

[He pauses another moment and then introduces himself.]

I'm Yuugi.

[vo5]

V. [said with a little nod of acknowledgement.]

If you don't mind me asking, could you tell me where you're from? Even though there's a few of us who know the game, we aren't all from the same places.

[Or times. And even though that name is kind of vaguely familiar from somewhere, he's kind of doubting that it's because they're from the same place...

Good luck, Yuugi, you ran into a scientist...]

Duel... Monsters?

[This girl can't possibly have cards. Her tone is too questioning and her hair isn't crazy enough. Still, she's asking.]

I can't say I've heard of them myself. What kind of cards are they?

[He holds up his deck and flips through the cards. She obviously isn't a duelist so it's not as if showing his cards to her will do any real damage. He holds up the Dark Magician for her to see, though he's not really sure if it IS a girl to be honest. The voice SOUNDS kind of like a girl ... ]

It's a trading card game that's popular where I come from.

[He explains.]

I'm Yuugi.

[When she sees the Dark Magician, Itsuki's eyes light up in understanding as she studies the monster.]

Oh, is that what those are called? There are a few students at my school that play... I watched them a couple of times, but I didn't understand it completely. I wouldn't mind learning, but I don't know if you'd be able to find cards here.

Oh! I'm Itsuki. Itsuki Myoudouin. It's nice to meet you!

[kattobings]

[ Cue in this kid looking like he's SPARKLING ]

I do! You're a duelist too?!

[Oh yeah, he had the spirit of a duelist, Yuugi could feel it coming from him in waves. It was ... nice.]

Yeah, I am. Name's Yuugi.

You are?

Yuugi? [ He looks like he's thinking....]

I thought I already met you!

[ OH WELL, clearly it doesn't matter ]

Yuma! Well, Tsukumo Yuma, but you can call me Yuma!

[She ponders for a moment, deciding if answering this video would be a good idea. After all, this person was supposed to have passed on into the afterlife.

Oh hell, why not?

In a rush to respond, she forgets to turn on the video function.]

Hey. I play a bit.

[She still had her deck of spell-casters and fairies in her black hole of a purse.]

[The voice is, of course, familiar.]

Sure. You know I would love to duel you.

[He grins.]

But I think you need to turn on your camera first, right?

[Damn. She knew the grin well. The wound was only a few months fresh on her heart, but she had learned to let go of him-cherishing the lessons and memories that she had from him. Yet, here he was in front of her as if he had never left.

She looked down at the screen with the video feed button. Oh yeah. She forgot to click the button when she responded. Clicking it, she waited for the feed to kick on before she waved and smiled a bit.]

Hey, there. I didn't expect to see you here at all.

(That voice...! It didn't take Yugi long at all to turn on the camera, eyes slightly wide in amazement. His expression, while looking a little older, was very much the same nonetheless.)

Other Me...! It's really you?

[His face lit up like a light, the smile on his face unmistakable and solely reserved for Yuugi ... And a few other of his closest friends.]

It really is you, isn't it Partner?

(Yugi's expression lit up as well, surprised that Atem had arrived. This couldn't be where he showed up after going to the afterlife...could it?)

I thought I would never see you again after the Ceremonial Duel, but...where are you at?

(Considering Yugi's in Crystalden, he may not have to look too far.)

[ Eyes and mouth wide open in surprise, Kumagawa's just going to stare at the screen of his communication device for a moment, completely speechless. The young man can't help it: he's a Weekly Shounen Jump aficionado, and the Yugi -- the cool, totally bad ass one -- is right there, talking and existing.

And though Kumagawa would've preferred to meet Goku instead, he's still pretty starstruck. ]

[ Thankfully, it only takes him less than a minute to snap out of his daze. Kumagawa quickly realizes this is a golden opportunity to meet one of his heroes, and so he hurriedly turns on his own video feed, smiling broadly at the screen -- at Yugi -- when he asks: ]

『「Duel Monsters」? You mean that children's card game? How uncool.』

[ ... Again, the Minus can't help it. It's not everyday he gets to pester/insult a celebrity, after all. ]

I'm sorry I'm not cool enough for you, then.

[He arches his eyebrows, leveling his gaze at the other with intensity.]

I guess life or death holographic battles on top of towers just aren't as trendy as they used to be, or something.

[Then again, he had no way of knowing who this kid was.]

[His expression mirrors that of the other Yuugi perfectly. All smug and not quite serious.]

Is that a challenge?

[Oh *no*. Not *him*.]

Of course you duel.

[His expression doesn't waver.]

[No he's not taking personal credit for that mess, but he still has his pride.]
