001 | Video/Action for Crystalden

[Bruno looks more than a little distracted as the camera switches on. That could be because he's busy examining one of the buildings here in Crystalden, obviously absolutely fascinated with everything around him.

The feed literally just shows him staring at the building for a good solid minute before he seems to notice that the camera is on.]

...Oh, right! I forgot about this! [He offers the camera a smile.] Hi! I was just wondering, does anyone actually know where we are? Are we in the future or maybe... [He pauses.] Maybe we've been pulled into a space-time anomaly that dragged us into an alternate universe!! [He obviously thinks this would be Really Neat.]

Any thoughts? You can come talk to me if you're in the area. Uh, I think Crystalden is what they called it... Yeah. [He smiles brightly and then clicks the feed off as he goes back to looking around himself.]

[Bruno is actually a little put-out at the sudden loss of the contact, but he covers it up with another laugh.]

Well then, I guess you're taking me in again! Thanks, Yusei. I really owe you this time.

[ It's okay, Bruno, because Yuusei's reaching up to place a hand on Bruno's shoulder and give it a squeeze. ]

You don't owe me anything but your companionship.

[ Seriously, Bruno. That's all he asks. He's already smiling a little more than he has in the past month, so it's enough for him. ]

[With a bright smile, Bruno reaches up to pat the hand on his shoulder.]

That's something I can definitely do. [He pauses, still idly resting his hand on Yusei's.] So where do you live around here?

[ Yuusei glances to his left and tries to gauge the distance, but... that's not hard. ]

Thirteen minutes on foot, two minutes on my D-Wheel. [ He looks back up at Bruno. ] It's not as big as back home, but I hope it's good enough. I made sure I had garage space, though.

Huh! That's not far at all! [He looks very pleased with Yusei's description of the place.] It sounds perfect! Pretty much like home, huh?

[Pausing, he scratches his head thoughtfully.] D'you think I can fit on the D-Wheel with you? [He's pretty big, so... he's not sure they'd fit unless they got super in each other's space.]

[ As long as there's a garage, it really doesn't matter much, does it? But he glances behind him at the D-Wheel, then back up at Bruno. ]

We can make it work.

[ He's already had Juudai super in his space once before, so Bruno's more than welcome to that, really. He takes his hand from Bruno's shoulder and turns to bend over, opening that extra little compartment with his spare helmet in it, then straightens and turns to hand it to Bruno. ]

You ready?

[Bruno took the helmet and put it on without hesitation, strapping it firmly into place as he grins at Yusei.]

You bet! [He's not going to comment on how he had watched Yusei pick up the helmet, or the fact that he is currently way too pleased at the idea of being so close to Yusei.

Figuring he ought to get on first to make it easier, Bruno throws his leg over the bike and settles himself down as far back as he can.]

Alright, let's... squish a little! [Grin.]

[ Not saying a word is fine by Yuusei, because he's not going to mention how he's looking forward to the drive back. Maybe he'll drive a little slower, too. It's not like he can sit the way he normally does and feel safe driving fast if he's got a second person in the seat, anyway. So that works out rather well.

Admittedly, Yuusei takes a few seconds as he watches Bruno settle down in the seat and sees the grin that follows his words. Slipping his helmet on, he steps forward and swings his leg over the seat and sits, but-- well, even with Bruno settled down as far as he can be, it's still a bit of a squeeze for Yuusei to get comfortable, so he has to wriggle his hips a little before he feels like he's in a good enough position to drive.

... And maybe it's a little awkward (and it was a little easier with Juudai because of how much smaller he is), but it's good enough for him. ]

Hold tight, then.

[ With that, he turns on the D-Wheel and revs the engine once as warning for Bruno to keep a hold of him, then speeds off to take Bruno to his new home. Really, he's happy to be able to share his home with Bruno again. ]

[Okay, wow, that was definitely Yusei's butt wiggling right against Bruno's crotch and wow, Bruno doesn't know what to do for a short moment. He's about to make a comment, his face heating up in seconds flat, but then Yusei tells him to hang on and, well, he knows what to do.

Without hesitation, Bruno wraps both of his arms around Yusei's waist and hugs him tight. Actually, this feels even better than the wiggling earlier did.

Bruno takes a few deep breaths, inhaling Yusei's scent as they start speeding off. And damn, does he love the thrill of riding. It's intoxicating. That coupled with his proximity to Yusei is almost making him light-headed.]

[ It's only an extra minute longer that he lets the ride last, maybe because he takes a bit of a detour - he can say he just took a wrong turn, but the truth is, it's nice to feel a little mind-clouding warmth when he's driving rather than just the chilly air that keeps his mind sharp. It's a bit of a shame that the ride's so short.

Once they're there though, Yuusei pulls up inside of the garage and parks the D-Wheel near the wall. Without wanting to move too much before getting up, he reaches over to press the touchpad on the wall, making the door close, and then he pulls off his helmet and glances behind him at Bruno.

... He should be getting up, but not yet. ]

Like I said, it's not a lot like home, but it's the best I could find.

[Seeing as Yusei isn't morning, Bruno gladly just sits there as well, hugging the other man and forcing himself not to nuzzle Yusei's back.]

It looks great. Well, the garage at least. We can definitely set up shop in here. [As if they're obviously going to open shop together to fix things. Duh.]

[ Well he's already built someone a bike to ride while they're here, so they may as well do it. It's how he's kept himself busy. Yuusei still doesn't seem like he wants to move just yet, but he does lift the arm to prepare to do so. And just stops there. ]

I was hoping you'd say that, actually.

[ Is that a little smile? Oh yes it is. But there's also a moment of silence before Yuusei shakes his head, as if shaking away a thought. ]

We should head upstairs.

[ That is when he moves, reaching down to take Bruno's hands and pull them away a little so he can stand. ]

[Oh, hey, we're back to hand-holding. Bruno is more than alright with that. He uses Yusei's hands as leverage to stand up, but then has to take his hands back to pull the helmet off.]

Let me just... [With a sigh of relief, he sets the helmet on the bike and reaches up to ruffle his own hair back into place. Then he grins at Yusei.]

You sure you've got enough room for me? I don't wanna take up too much space...

[ Yuusei settles his own helmet next to Bruno's and turns to glance at the digital clock on the wall to check the time, then looks back at Bruno when he speaks. ]

There's plenty of room. [ Seriously. ] I made sure there were three bedrooms in case anyone else from home made it here.

[ With that, he makes his way through the doorway and up the lit staircase to the living space, glancing back to make sure Bruno's following. ]

Oh! [Bruno looks a little shocked at that revelation.] That really is a lot of room.

[But then, that means...]

Guess I don't have to sleep on a couch then! [He grins, almost a little sheepishly.] I'll have a bed and everything. That's a first! [....pause.] ...maybe. I think.

[ Yuusei chuckles as he opens the door into the apartment, then steps in, then to the side to let Bruno in. ]

You'll have a bed, and your own closet. There are two in my room. [ For whatever reason. He supposes it works. ] Take a look around and make yourself at home, Bruno.

[Bruno doesn't even feel weird just following Yusei into the apartment.]

Whoa, can you even use two closets, Yusei? I wouldn't think you'd even use one. [He grins to show he's joking with him.

But then, as they step in, he looks around and blinks, nodding appreciatively.]

Wow, the place is nice! [Time to start wandering around and looking!!]

[ Hey, it means Bruno's comfortable, which is always a good thing. But at his joke, he chuckles lightly in response - if nothing else, that second closet would've ended up packed full of spare parts in boxes on the shelves if he'd been left with another month of only having Integra living with him.

He steps in beside Bruno, reaching out to place a hand on his back, and motions to the door past the bathroom on the left. ]

Integra's using that room there, but... [ He wanders away to open the door to the hallway and two closet doors, eventually leading to a bathroom on one side and the actual bedroom on the other. ] You can use this room, if you'd like.

[ Yes, Bruno. This is the same two-closeted room he just claimed was his own. ]

[Bruno peers at the room where Yusei said Integra was staying. It made it seem more like home, actually, for Yusei to be housing so many people out of the goodness of his heart.

As they enter Yusei's bedroom, Bruno looks around and then looks a little uncertain.]

...isn't this your room? [He's not... saying he won't stay in this room, he's just... making sure he's deduced correctly.]

[ Yuusei doesn't answer right away, though. He waits until he's closed the door and he's leaning back against the bit of wall between the two closet doors, arms folded over his chest. ]

It is. But I can take you to the third room, if you'd like. [ There's a pause as he glances down to the bed. ] I figured if someone else shows up, it'd be easier to put them in the other room, since you and I are so comfortable with each other.

[ Of course there's another reason, but he's not going to be saying anything about that any time soon. ]

[And with that explanation, Bruno is put completely at ease. He smiles brightly and nods in understanding.]

That makes sense! I don't mind sharing with you if you don't mind sharing with me! [He even looks very pleased at the prospect. Because he is.]

Besides, you rarely ever sleep anyway, right? [He was teasing again, winking quickly at Yusei as he goes to sit on the bed, testing it for 'bounciness'.]

[ Yuusei almost sighs in relief, because honestly, he's glad that Bruno's willing to stay. Having to spend more nights in a quiet apartment would've been unfortunate, and having to spend nights in a less than quiet apartment but without waking up to see Bruno there would've been worse.

At Bruno's comment about Yuusei's typical sleeping habits, he chuckles as he moves closer to the bed and settles himself by the window. ]

This place is... it's like home, but it isn't. It doesn't take much for me to adjust, you know that, but it was harder to.

[ Mind you, he appreciates the company of Juudai and Yuugi and Atem, and V and Jesse and the others, but... despite being duelists, there's just a sort of lack of proper familiarity there. With Bruno (or admittedly anyone from his time), things are different, and he can start feeling a little more like himself. And as he thinks of that, he looks over at Bruno and smiles. ]

But I'm sure it'll all be easier now.

[Knowing Yusei as well as Bruno does, it's not hard for the blue-haired man to figure out that there's a lot more going on in Yusei's mind than he's letting on. At the same time, if Yusei really wanted to say any of it, he would. So Bruno's more than willing to let it slide for now.

Besides, it seems more likely that Yusei just needs some cheer in his life to make things better for him right now!]

It sure will! Because you'll have me to help make everything easier! [Bruno smiles and reaches out to pat Yusei's hand.] It's like... a home away from home, yeah?

[ Yuusei offers another quiet chuckle at that as he nods, stepping away from the window to settle himself down next to Bruno. But Bruno, if only you knew. He wants to get it all out, has wanted to for a while now, but is this even the right time? How long will they even be there? Would it be better to wait until he's resolved everything at the Ark Cradle?

And that's only really the tip of the iceberg in regards to the questions he's asked himself all along, and will probably still ask himself for a while. ]

The timing could've been better, but... yeah. A home away from home. [ Yuusei manages a smile, because there's no denying that he's happy just having Bruno at his side again. ] Thank you for staying here with me.

Are you kidding? Yusei... [Bruno very emphatically grabs Yusei's hands, both of them, and looks him earnestly in the eyes.] Thank you for letting me stay! [He pauses as he squeezes Yusei's hands.]

And thanks for everything you've done for me. Sincerely. You mean... more to me than you can possibly know. [Whoa, sappy much?]
