001 | Video/Action for Crystalden

[Bruno looks more than a little distracted as the camera switches on. That could be because he's busy examining one of the buildings here in Crystalden, obviously absolutely fascinated with everything around him.

The feed literally just shows him staring at the building for a good solid minute before he seems to notice that the camera is on.]

...Oh, right! I forgot about this! [He offers the camera a smile.] Hi! I was just wondering, does anyone actually know where we are? Are we in the future or maybe... [He pauses.] Maybe we've been pulled into a space-time anomaly that dragged us into an alternate universe!! [He obviously thinks this would be Really Neat.]

Any thoughts? You can come talk to me if you're in the area. Uh, I think Crystalden is what they called it... Yeah. [He smiles brightly and then clicks the feed off as he goes back to looking around himself.]

[ It's a little bit after Bruno's post when Yuusei ends up pulling up next to Bruno on his D-Wheel - it's not exactly a stealthy approach, but Yuusei doesn't care for stealth. For this, it's speed. He'd recognized where Bruno was, and it's how he'd found him so quickly, and really... he just wants to make sure it's really Bruno.

He stops by Bruno and shuts off his D-Wheel, the removal of his helmet following as he looks at the other. After a brief moment, Yuusei smiles. ]

It's not the future, but the technology is definitely more advanced here than back home.

[ Sadly, that's the best greeting he's got. ]

[It's a few moments before Bruno realizes he's being spoken to. And another few before he realizes that not only does he know the sound of that engine, he knows that voice too.

Slowly, he turns to look at Yusei and his face brightens to near-beaming when he sees the other man.]

Yusei!! [Quickly, he closes the space between them and grasps Yusei's hand tightly.] I didn't know you were here too! I'm so glad!

[ Yuusei chuckles and lifts the arm of his D-Wheel just before Bruno goes for his hand, and once that contact is made, he almost sighs in relief. It's definitely Bruno, definitely something real, and he stands from the seat, settling his helmet in his spot, and places his free hand over their joined ones. ]

I've been here for a little over a month now. I'm glad to see you, though.

[ He glances around briefly, then gives Bruno's hand a squeeze. Really, he couldn't be happier that Bruno's there, and for multiple reasons at that. ]

But it's just you and I. There are other duelists, but none are from our time.

[Bruno is more than happy to keep the contact, squeezing Yusei's hand in return, almost subconsciously.]

...You've been alone a whole month? [He looks a little crestfallen.] I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner for you. [As if he could control that.]

But wait... if you've been here that long, that means that we're at least in a time rift of some sort! I just saw you a couple of days ago back home! [This is an exciting new prospect, aaaah.]

[ ... Right, there was that issue he had to figure out, with the differences between what the both of them know. He'd like to have the both of them sit down, but he's not fond of the idea of leaving his D-Wheel alone again, and it'd be a tight fit for the both of them on the seat. ]

What's the last thing you remember, then?

[Bruno's excitement fades, though very slowly, as he thinks about that question.]

Uh... I ate some ramen before I went to bed? [Though, that's probably not what Yusei meant, heh. Bruno grins a little.] But, uh... We're in the middle of the WRGP, and... oh! Team New World just showed up... [Yeah, that's about right.]

[ Yuusei nods, remaining silent as he considers that for a moment. If Team New World only just showed up, then it means that there's a couple week gap between what Bruno remembers and what Yuusei does. And that's fine - at the very least, it's not multiple months. Yuusei offers Bruno a small smile. ]

Looks like I'm a little ahead of you. [ But he shakes his head - it's not too much of a big deal, since apparently, that isn't even really important now that they're here. ] You'll be needing a place to stay, you know...

[ You know what that means, Bruno, right? ]

[Of course he knows what that means!!]

Yeah, I guess I do... Huh, what sorts of places do they have around here? [He's already imposed on Yusei before, he doesn't feel particularly keen to just decide to stay with Yusei. Though he seriously wouldn't mind.]

Come home with me and you'll find out.

[ ... 'Home,' huh? No, he always knows which home is which, which is the one he stays in here and which is the one he loves and would do anything to keep safe, if only because his home here is just a place where he sleeps. His home elsewhere is an entire city and much more important to him. ]

There's a girl staying with me, but there's enough room for you, too.

[ Especially if they share a ~~bed~~ room. ]

[Bruno can't help but smile at the offer. It's nice to know that a month here hadn't changed Yusei at all.]

Are you sure? I don't wanna impose or anything... [He pauses before laughing.] Again, I mean. You always seem to need to take me in.

[ Yuusei shakes his head again and-- oh, he's still holding their hands. He gives Bruno's another squeeze before finally letting go, and that smile is still there on his lips. ]

I'm positive, Bruno. I'd feel better knowing you were with me.

[Bruno is actually a little put-out at the sudden loss of the contact, but he covers it up with another laugh.]

Well then, I guess you're taking me in again! Thanks, Yusei. I really owe you this time.

[ It's okay, Bruno, because Yuusei's reaching up to place a hand on Bruno's shoulder and give it a squeeze. ]

You don't owe me anything but your companionship.

[ Seriously, Bruno. That's all he asks. He's already smiling a little more than he has in the past month, so it's enough for him. ]

[With a bright smile, Bruno reaches up to pat the hand on his shoulder.]

That's something I can definitely do. [He pauses, still idly resting his hand on Yusei's.] So where do you live around here?

[ Yuusei glances to his left and tries to gauge the distance, but... that's not hard. ]

Thirteen minutes on foot, two minutes on my D-Wheel. [ He looks back up at Bruno. ] It's not as big as back home, but I hope it's good enough. I made sure I had garage space, though.

Huh! That's not far at all! [He looks very pleased with Yusei's description of the place.] It sounds perfect! Pretty much like home, huh?

[Pausing, he scratches his head thoughtfully.] D'you think I can fit on the D-Wheel with you? [He's pretty big, so... he's not sure they'd fit unless they got super in each other's space.]

[ As long as there's a garage, it really doesn't matter much, does it? But he glances behind him at the D-Wheel, then back up at Bruno. ]

We can make it work.

[ He's already had Juudai super in his space once before, so Bruno's more than welcome to that, really. He takes his hand from Bruno's shoulder and turns to bend over, opening that extra little compartment with his spare helmet in it, then straightens and turns to hand it to Bruno. ]

You ready?

[Bruno took the helmet and put it on without hesitation, strapping it firmly into place as he grins at Yusei.]

You bet! [He's not going to comment on how he had watched Yusei pick up the helmet, or the fact that he is currently way too pleased at the idea of being so close to Yusei.

Figuring he ought to get on first to make it easier, Bruno throws his leg over the bike and settles himself down as far back as he can.]

Alright, let's... squish a little! [Grin.]

[ Not saying a word is fine by Yuusei, because he's not going to mention how he's looking forward to the drive back. Maybe he'll drive a little slower, too. It's not like he can sit the way he normally does and feel safe driving fast if he's got a second person in the seat, anyway. So that works out rather well.

Admittedly, Yuusei takes a few seconds as he watches Bruno settle down in the seat and sees the grin that follows his words. Slipping his helmet on, he steps forward and swings his leg over the seat and sits, but-- well, even with Bruno settled down as far as he can be, it's still a bit of a squeeze for Yuusei to get comfortable, so he has to wriggle his hips a little before he feels like he's in a good enough position to drive.

... And maybe it's a little awkward (and it was a little easier with Juudai because of how much smaller he is), but it's good enough for him. ]

Hold tight, then.

[ With that, he turns on the D-Wheel and revs the engine once as warning for Bruno to keep a hold of him, then speeds off to take Bruno to his new home. Really, he's happy to be able to share his home with Bruno again. ]

[Okay, wow, that was definitely Yusei's butt wiggling right against Bruno's crotch and wow, Bruno doesn't know what to do for a short moment. He's about to make a comment, his face heating up in seconds flat, but then Yusei tells him to hang on and, well, he knows what to do.

Without hesitation, Bruno wraps both of his arms around Yusei's waist and hugs him tight. Actually, this feels even better than the wiggling earlier did.

Bruno takes a few deep breaths, inhaling Yusei's scent as they start speeding off. And damn, does he love the thrill of riding. It's intoxicating. That coupled with his proximity to Yusei is almost making him light-headed.]

[ It's only an extra minute longer that he lets the ride last, maybe because he takes a bit of a detour - he can say he just took a wrong turn, but the truth is, it's nice to feel a little mind-clouding warmth when he's driving rather than just the chilly air that keeps his mind sharp. It's a bit of a shame that the ride's so short.

Once they're there though, Yuusei pulls up inside of the garage and parks the D-Wheel near the wall. Without wanting to move too much before getting up, he reaches over to press the touchpad on the wall, making the door close, and then he pulls off his helmet and glances behind him at Bruno.

... He should be getting up, but not yet. ]

Like I said, it's not a lot like home, but it's the best I could find.

[Seeing as Yusei isn't morning, Bruno gladly just sits there as well, hugging the other man and forcing himself not to nuzzle Yusei's back.]

It looks great. Well, the garage at least. We can definitely set up shop in here. [As if they're obviously going to open shop together to fix things. Duh.]

[ Well he's already built someone a bike to ride while they're here, so they may as well do it. It's how he's kept himself busy. Yuusei still doesn't seem like he wants to move just yet, but he does lift the arm to prepare to do so. And just stops there. ]

I was hoping you'd say that, actually.

[ Is that a little smile? Oh yes it is. But there's also a moment of silence before Yuusei shakes his head, as if shaking away a thought. ]

We should head upstairs.

[ That is when he moves, reaching down to take Bruno's hands and pull them away a little so he can stand. ]

[Oh, hey, we're back to hand-holding. Bruno is more than alright with that. He uses Yusei's hands as leverage to stand up, but then has to take his hands back to pull the helmet off.]

Let me just... [With a sigh of relief, he sets the helmet on the bike and reaches up to ruffle his own hair back into place. Then he grins at Yusei.]

You sure you've got enough room for me? I don't wanna take up too much space...

[ Yuusei settles his own helmet next to Bruno's and turns to glance at the digital clock on the wall to check the time, then looks back at Bruno when he speaks. ]

There's plenty of room. [ Seriously. ] I made sure there were three bedrooms in case anyone else from home made it here.

[ With that, he makes his way through the doorway and up the lit staircase to the living space, glancing back to make sure Bruno's following. ]
