001 | Video/Action for Crystalden

[Bruno looks more than a little distracted as the camera switches on. That could be because he's busy examining one of the buildings here in Crystalden, obviously absolutely fascinated with everything around him.

The feed literally just shows him staring at the building for a good solid minute before he seems to notice that the camera is on.]

...Oh, right! I forgot about this! [He offers the camera a smile.] Hi! I was just wondering, does anyone actually know where we are? Are we in the future or maybe... [He pauses.] Maybe we've been pulled into a space-time anomaly that dragged us into an alternate universe!! [He obviously thinks this would be Really Neat.]

Any thoughts? You can come talk to me if you're in the area. Uh, I think Crystalden is what they called it... Yeah. [He smiles brightly and then clicks the feed off as he goes back to looking around himself.]

[Everything is moving a hell of a lot quicker than Bruno could have ever expected them to. And he's not really sure how he's supposed to respond to all of these sensations he's only just experiencing for the first time (in his memory, anyway).

But the moment Yusei straddles him, Bruno's mind goes entirely blank. And when he feels Yusei's lips on his own, Bruno can't help but gasp softly.

It doesn't take him long, though, before he is kissing Yusei back, his hands moving to press against Yusei's chest - not pushing him away, just... touching him.

Though, since Bruno's not particularly used to kissing, it's only a few moments before he actually is gently pushing Yusei away. Gasping softly, Bruno blinks up at the other man.]

Oh... so it wasn't just... [He's flushed, but also seems very pleased.] ...that was nice. [Eloquent.]

[ Yuusei's fine with being pushed away, because just being kissed back is good enough. He never expected it to last very long. ... But that doesn't mean he's quite ready to move, for reasons. He takes the moment to smile down at Bruno though, and he chuckles quietly before pressing another kiss to his lips. Lighter, this time, but still a lingering sort of thing, because a brief kiss just doesn't seem like it's enough. ]

I thought you knew by now that I'm serious about my feelings. [ And that's regarding anything. Though, he slides himself off of Bruno and reaches out for Bruno's hand to help him sit up. ] And I'm serious about you eating something, too. Come on.

[Bruno is pretty certain that his face is bright red right about now. And he's right. It is. He nods a little as Yusei slides off, though he has to take a brief moment to force himself not to gasp at the brief friction.]

Y-yeah. I'll get some food... [Taking Yusei's hand, Bruno pulls himself up and... carefully shifts the pillow into his lap again.]

I think I need to... go to the bathroom real quick first. [He's hoping his reasoning is not too obvious, ugh.]

[ Yuusei honestly can't keep from chuckling a little at that, and he leans forward enough to press a light kiss to Bruno's forehead, giving his hand a squeeze. ]

Take your time, then.

[ Sweetheart, it's obvious. But he turns to leave, grabbing his shirt from the dresser to slip it on before leaving to start making something for himself, at least. ]

[Take his time. Right. Bruno watches Yusei go for a long moment before he gets up and rushes into the bathroom.

And it's actually only a few minutes before the sink runs loudly for half a minute and then Bruno comes out of the bathroom, drying his hands on his pants.

As he enters the kitchen, he looks at Yusei with a liiiittle embarrassment.]

So... what've you got to eat? Do you have any ramen?

[ There's a bit of a knowing smile on Yuusei's lips, but at least he has the decency not to say anything. Though, considering his train of thought until the moment Bruno came into sight, there's still a bit of discomfort, but he got good at ignoring it years ago. Well. Not so much ignoring it than ignoring the urges.

At Bruno's question, he reaches up from his bowl of cereal (healthy, Yuusei) to flip open the cupboard just over his shoulder. There's not much, but there are a few cups of ramen - not for himself, but for just in case. It's clear that he'd kept hoping that someone would make it from home. ]

Just for you.

[Bruno's face lights up and he reaches greedily for one of the cups of ramen.]

It's like you knew I'd be coming, Yusei. [Double entendre totally not intended and completely missed.

Bruno goes to make up some hot water for his ramen.] ...and we don't pay for anything here, do we? How weird is that?

[ Except Yuusei notices, and he has to shift a little where he stands. Damn it, Bruno. He's grateful for the change of topic, though. ]

Yeah, it took a little bit for me to get used to. I still don't take anything unless I absolutely need it.

[ It explains why the cupboards are kind of bare and there's not much of anything in the fridge. Sure, he cooks for Integra, but he usually just plans those meals out and gets the stuff he needs that day. ]

I've been to a few of the other districts, and it's jarring how different they are from one another.

You'll have to take me around sometime. I'm interested in trying to figure out how this place works.

[Once the water's hot, he pours it into the cup, looking eager as he waits for the soup itself to warm up.]

Do you think we could start trading services for things we take? So we don't feel so bad about taking what we need.

[ ... Bruno stop. Yuusei shifts again, but nods as he watches Bruno for a moment. He seems to have forgotten about his cereal, too. Who can blame him, though? ]

I was thinking about that. I've helped a few people since I've been here with things, so I'm sure what we can do will be helpful to others.

[Honestly, Bruno doesn't even realize what he's doing to poor Yusei, wow.]

Great! And in our downtime, we can tune up your bike together. [He is... obviously excited about that too.] Or we can ride around, scouting everything out... [Riding... heh.]

[ Yuusei lets out a strained sort of chuckle at that. Just. Bruno. ]

We can build you one while we're at it. I got lucky by having mine with me. [ Only because he was already riding it. ] But we can do that, too. You can ride with me anytime.

[Please, omg, tell him to stop.

He looks super excited by the idea of riding with Yusei some more.]

I don't really need one of my own! [He always forgets to work on his own anyway... he's always so much more invested in other people's.] Though... having a scooter would make it easier to get around... [He looks thoughtful as he opens up his ramen and starts hunting for some chopsticks.]

[ Yuusei gives a little nod at that. ]

And if you have yours, you won't have to borrow mine for anything.

[ Not that he doesn't trust Bruno with it - hell, he trusts Bruno with his life - but uh. No one rides the D-Wheel without him on it. That's just how it is. ]

I'll start drawing up the plans for it tonight.

[ Because who needs sleep, right? ]

[Oh wow, he's really gonna get a scooter again. Bruno looks really excited as he pulls out some chopsticks and starts shoving food into his mouth.]

I can help! [He's speaking through the mouthfuls of food, so it's probably a little muffled.] Does momentum work here? Or maybe I can figure out how to harness one of their power sources. [Excite.]

[ Ah, the Momentum question. Yuusei shakes his head at that, settling his bowl down on the counter. ]

No. I'm using a standard gas-powered engine in my D-Wheel until I can figure out what makes this place work. There's another duelist here who's helping me out with that, though. Apparently his methods of dueling won't work here, and with Momentum not functioning in my duel disk, we've got a couple of technological road bumps to get over.

[ There's a pause as he looks up at Bruno. ]

I should introduce the two of you. With the three of us, we're bound to come up with something.

[Bruno is more than happy to meet more people to bond over technology with, ngl.]

Sounds like we've got our work cut out for us. [He slurps up the last of the noodles, poking around with his chopsticks to make sure he's gotten them all.] But that's what makes it fun!

[Deciding he's gotten all the noodles, he quickly drains the broth from the cup, sighing in contentment afterward.]

[ He had a feeling Bruno would be perfectly okay with that. Yuusei reaches out to take the empty cup from Bruno - not something he usually does, but maybe he's using it as an excuse to touch the other - and throws it away, but not before saving the chopsticks. ]

As long as there's something to do with my hands, it isn't bad.

[ But then, Yuusei's always just needed something to do - when has there really ever been a moment when he's relaxed? ]

You'll like it here, I'm sure.

You know, I wasn't sure if I'd be okay here. But then...

[Okay, Yusei, prepare yourself for a sappy moment as Bruno grabs both of your shoulders and looks deep into your eyes.]

But then you found me. It's like ... when you're around, I don't need to worry about anything. Because you save me.

[ Sappy is perfectly fine; Yuusei does it all of the time, doesn't he? So when he hears that, Yuusei can't help but smile as he shifts a little closer to Bruno. Also Bruno, you're really not helping the Messiah complex here at all. ]

I'm glad I found you, really. I wouldn't have this be any other way.

[ And that includes the little confession from a little bit ago; that's something he'd been wanting to get out there, and he certainly feels better knowing that Bruno knows and... quite clearly feels the same. But-- that's not the point of this, is it? ]

And if you get lost again? I'll come find you, no matter what it takes. Not even a black hole will keep me from you.

[With a laugh, Bruno pulls Yusei into a tight hug.]

That seems a little extreme, but... Thanks, Yusei.

[Busy snuggling Yusei now.] For everything. Um... And... the ... what happened... the kissing, I mean... yeah. [omg, awkward.]

[ ... Okay yeah, maybe that was a little extreme, but he means it. Not only is Bruno one of his best friends, but now... Ah, hugs. Yuusei holds out his hands a bit awkwardly for a moment before wrapping his arms around Bruno. Hugs aren't really a thing for him, so pardon the awkwardness.

Thankfully, Bruno's words are what takes his mind off of that and lets him be a little more natural about it. ]

You don't need to thank me for that.

[ His voice is quiet, but there's still a hint of a smile on his lips. ]

Do you need help coming to terms with it?

[ He'll help. Right here. ]

I...

[Bruno squeezes Yusei softly and buries his face in the top of Yusei's head.]

I'm just not sure I've ever felt like this about anyone. It's... weird and new.

[ Yuusei presses a hand against Bruno's chest, content with just touching for now. He's not really sure how to answer that - he's felt things like this for others (like Kiryuu, for instance) but each time, it's been a little different. And really, he cares about everyone he's met in some way, so sometimes it's hard to differentiate what's what when it comes to that.

But he knows that, now that he's acted, he'll be keeping to what he has. ]

... I'll help the best that I can.

[ With that, he tilts his head a little, enough to be able to press a light kiss along Bruno's jaw. With what little experience he has, it doesn't really help with the cuddly sort of situation that this is, but he's trying. ]

[Bruno gasps softly at the feel of the kiss. It's just such a nice feeling and... Bruno really likes it.]

You're already helping. Seriously. [Small squeeze and then he pulls Yusei away from him again and... oh, to hell with it.

He kisses Yusei, hard, and mostly clumsily. But hey! Bruno is taking an initiative here to show that he's REALLY OKAY WITH THIS and wants Yusei and him to be together and... yes, good.]
