Good afternoon, everyone. I haven't introduced myself, so I thought I'd take the time to do so. My name is Mami Tomoe and it's a pleasure to meet all of you. If you need any help adjusting to this place or anything at all, please let me know right away. I'd be happy to help, and in a new and unusual place, it's important that no one should feel abandoned and alone.

[ She takes a deep breath, the next part of her speech making her feel quite a bit uncomfortable and nervous. But she couldn't let Sayaka down. She promised this, and she had to do her best to make it a reality no matter how much other magical girls had let her down in the past. ]

While this would normally be kept a secret, I have decided, along with a college of mine, to reveal to everyone that I am indeed a magical girl, a puella magi as we call it. I made a wish, and in return, I was given magical powers to help protect people.

I don't particularly mind if you don't believe me, though I have been made aware that there are magical girls here from other worlds besides mine. You don't need to address me right now, though I'd like to have a party in the near future so we can introduce and meet each other. I would like for us all to work together, so if you have an interest in that, I do hope that you will attend my party. If you'd like to keep your identity a secret, we can also arrange for that as well.

[ She shuts the feed off, wondering if she's doing the right thing or not. But if Sayaka is backing her up on this, it can't turn out that bad... right? ]

Yeah, right.

[The blind leading the blind, as far as Kyouko is concerned. There's too much that Mami doesn't know, and too much that Sayaka isn't aware of. It's dangerous.] Just leave Sayaka to me. You're gonna screw things up.

[facaded]

You will have to convince Miki-san of this. She's following me of her own will, it's not like I'm forcing her to do anything.

... She expects you to join.

[ Yes, that was a polite warning. It's not her job to tell Sayaka that you're a grump. ]

[invocation]

All this team stuff, she got that dumb idea from you. [Her expression goes cold and flat.] I already know.

[She tears viciously into another candy bar. Mami was right about one thing: she was expected to be a part of this whole thing, whether or not she thought it was stupid.] I'll work with you, but this is just temporary. Don't forget that.

[facaded]

... That's good enough. I don't want to put any unneeded pressure on you.

[ Kind of too late for that, really. ]

[invocation]

[Kyouko almost retorts to say that it's definitely too late, but she concedes, for now. Getting a rise out of Mami took more effort than she was willing to exert at the moment.]

...When's this meeting s'posed to be?

[facaded]

I plan on getting everyone together for food. We're going to discuss how to keep everyone here in mallow hallow and the neighboring districts safe.

There are no witches to be found here, or not the kind from our own worlds at least, so surely this won't go against what you stand for.

[invocation]

It's not just that. [Protecting people? That wasn't her style at all.

But she was worried about Sayaka.] If there's no witches, why bother protecting 'em? It's got nothin' to do with us.

[facaded]

We're captive just like everyone else here, so it has everything to do with us.

[ Predictable answer is incredibly predictable. Mami will always be a justice warrior. ]

[invocation]

[She should've expected that, but her frown deepens, all the same.] Aren'tcha worried about your magic? There's no Grief Seeds here. You shouldn't be wasting it on a buncha strangers, especially if there aren't any witches.

[facaded]

About that... have you not noticed that your soul gem is... well, here, I'll just show you.

[ Mami holds hers up, it doesn't have a single shred of taint within it. ]

I've used my magic but it still looks just like this.

[invocation]

[Kyouko leans in, eyes narrowed. She'd noticed it, but...]

Yeah. [Instead of appearing relieved, she seems vaguely troubled.] It doesn't make any sense. Nothin' in this place does.

[facaded]

Indeed. We'll just have to keep on our toes, for Miki-san's sake.
