Good afternoon, everyone. I haven't introduced myself, so I thought I'd take the time to do so. My name is Mami Tomoe and it's a pleasure to meet all of you. If you need any help adjusting to this place or anything at all, please let me know right away. I'd be happy to help, and in a new and unusual place, it's important that no one should feel abandoned and alone.

[ She takes a deep breath, the next part of her speech making her feel quite a bit uncomfortable and nervous. But she couldn't let Sayaka down. She promised this, and she had to do her best to make it a reality no matter how much other magical girls had let her down in the past. ]

While this would normally be kept a secret, I have decided, along with a college of mine, to reveal to everyone that I am indeed a magical girl, a puella magi as we call it. I made a wish, and in return, I was given magical powers to help protect people.

I don't particularly mind if you don't believe me, though I have been made aware that there are magical girls here from other worlds besides mine. You don't need to address me right now, though I'd like to have a party in the near future so we can introduce and meet each other. I would like for us all to work together, so if you have an interest in that, I do hope that you will attend my party. If you'd like to keep your identity a secret, we can also arrange for that as well.

[ She shuts the feed off, wondering if she's doing the right thing or not. But if Sayaka is backing her up on this, it can't turn out that bad... right? ]

[ While she still feels guilty, Mami's really relieved at Sayaka's happiness. Maybe, just maybe, this'll turn out alright. ]

It's not just me. Madoka believes in you too, and so will everyone else after this. [ As far as Sayaka's concerned, everything is already perfect. Not having Mami around was the only negative about things back home — with that taken care of, she's the happiest she's ever been. ] Even if we're all from different worlds... we all care about the same stuff, you know? That's what it means to be a magical girl.

Heh. You know I should have sorta expected this, considering there are superheroes running around this world. You look pretty young. How long have you been doing the "Magical girl" gig?

[Wow so young but hey, you're never too young to want to help people.]

Hey, I'm on the superhero side of things. I'm called Wasp. If you manage to get a group together, maybe consider collaborating with us?

[Despite Tony's feelings on magic, Wasp isn't one to turn away help. Especially if that help can get people back to their rightful homes.]

It's been about a year, though honestly I've lost track. Most magical girls from my world are around the same age as myself.

Would you mind if I asked about these superheroes of yours?

I would, of course, need to talk about it with the other girls. But I believe we all have something very important in common, so I don't think that would be any trouble at all.

[ Mami's so grateful to hear that other people are the same as her. That they really want to help people. Her own world has a sad lack of this, as other puella magi tend to be more selfish than self serving. Mami is more the exception than the rule. ]

You made a wish and you got powers to protect people? Your world's magic must be pretty special.

[It doesn't sound special in the right way though, actually it sounds as if he doesn't trust that. It's not her words what he doubts, it's that she became a magical girl so easily. It didn't sound right, then again it didn't really matter to him.]

I'm not a "magical girl" and I don't "protect people", neither I harm them though. [At least not without reasons.] But I'm interested in your status and any other magical girls there may be. I'm a wizard so magic is a big interest of mine.

Some of the girls may want to keep their status as a magical girl a secret and I intend on respecting their wishes. Though, I'm sure that the ones that don't mind being public would like to speak to you and I myself am willing to speak with you on the matter.

Though, I must ask, do you just refuse to protect people, or do you not have the ability to do so?

Neither, actually. I don't protect people, I help them, but my powers to do so are currently sealed in this place. And the magic that I can use here to help people... Let's say that it's in everyone's interest that I don't help them that way.

I have no issues against helping in a less direct way though. Not all my magic is useless and I still have enough power to endure a few penalties should the need for it arise.

[ She breathes a sigh of relief. It's important to her to know who she's speaking with, and now that she knows his intentions are in the right place, Mami can speak a bit more freely. ]

I appreciate your thoughtfulness. But please, feel free to ask me any questions you'd like about the puella magi and I'll do my best to answer.

I suppose the most dire question would be how your magic works. The magic I'm accustomed to usually is a double edged sword, there's always a price or a penalty unless the one performing it is powerful enough to be exempt to those things, or the spell used is one of the few that don't require something in exchange.

Besides the fact that I was given powers to be able to protect people, nothing. I'm not bragging, being a magical girl can be a thankless job.

Whenever I use magic, this soul gem of mine becomes less bright. In order to replenish it, I need grief seeds from witches, which I must kill in battle myself.

However, there are no witches here, and no matter how much magic I use, my soul gem doesn't seem to dim. The rules are a bit different here, but I don't quite understand why your magic has been limited while mine has become limitless.

Just make sure you've got variety on your team. Having a little extra muscle never hurt any.
