Good afternoon, everyone. I haven't introduced myself, so I thought I'd take the time to do so. My name is Mami Tomoe and it's a pleasure to meet all of you. If you need any help adjusting to this place or anything at all, please let me know right away. I'd be happy to help, and in a new and unusual place, it's important that no one should feel abandoned and alone.

[ She takes a deep breath, the next part of her speech making her feel quite a bit uncomfortable and nervous. But she couldn't let Sayaka down. She promised this, and she had to do her best to make it a reality no matter how much other magical girls had let her down in the past. ]

While this would normally be kept a secret, I have decided, along with a college of mine, to reveal to everyone that I am indeed a magical girl, a puella magi as we call it. I made a wish, and in return, I was given magical powers to help protect people.

I don't particularly mind if you don't believe me, though I have been made aware that there are magical girls here from other worlds besides mine. You don't need to address me right now, though I'd like to have a party in the near future so we can introduce and meet each other. I would like for us all to work together, so if you have an interest in that, I do hope that you will attend my party. If you'd like to keep your identity a secret, we can also arrange for that as well.

[ She shuts the feed off, wondering if she's doing the right thing or not. But if Sayaka is backing her up on this, it can't turn out that bad... right? ]

The magic I use sometimes is the same, like someone could make a wish, like saving their parents from dying and I could grant it but there will always be a big but to it. It could be that the parents were saved but the person who made the wish died, or that they died later on, or simply that the parents were saved in a parallel world while the person who made the wish is still without them. Sometimes I can take the penalty for myself and avoid such grim outcomes, but for the most part I prefer to avoid granting wishes which I'm not sure can be fulfilled without "but"s added to them.

[This should also explain why he seems to refuse to help people, the most direct way to do so could end bringing them pain anyway. It's not worth it.

Primo hums for a second before he dares another question.]

Mami-chan, do you know what would happen should your soul gem lose its shine?

[ She frowned at that. It wasn't something she actually ever thought about which had more to do with the fact that she didn't want to think about it. Mami could have gotten the answer easily by asking Kyuubey, but she always just made an assumption. ]

I would lose my magic, I suppose. [ Pausing, Mami's voice grows a bit grimmer. ] I've never seen it happen myself. Perhaps I would die, seeing as I would no longer be able to defeat witches without magic.

[A magic that serves to defeat witches. The witches that give her what she needs to keep nurturing her own magic. Without that she's without magic and unable to defeat the witches. Then what would happen if all witches were to be destroyed? If there were no more witches left for her to nurture her magic, would she go on living like a normal girl or would she die due not having witches anymore?

What's the difference between that and Ange? She made a wish for her family to return, she gained powers to defeat the evil witch that kept her family away. And she was blatantly and completely used and then thrown away like garbage.

He has more questions, the smell of foul play, the similarities with Ange's story, they are so strong that he can barely restrain himself. Mami's answers aren't clear, not because she doesn't want to be clear, it's obvious that she just has never questioned them, be it because she was that naive or because she didn't want to think of it. And yet it's because of that that it feels there's something wrong in all this beyond Primo's usual lack of trust. Still, keeping asking is pointless if she doesn't have the answers and if he's right it's not a good idea to push it.]

My name's Primo, as I said before I'm a wizard. I feel I should note, though, that in the place I come from a wizard is just basically a male witch. Of course I doubt the witches there have any relation with the witches you fight, but given the circumstances... I may not be one of your witches and I don't have grief seeds, but even limited as it's here my magic is still powerful and maybe I could find a way to help with that. Of course, only if you ever consider it needed.

[ Mami smiles and nods, completely clueless as to what is going on in that head of his. ]

The witches in my world are inhuman creatures of destruction, so it is obvious to me that you are nothing like them. It is a pleasure to meet you and I hope that we can be alies in the future.

Would you extend the same offer to the other puella magi here? There are girls with similar magic to mine, and I don't want them to be overlooked.

[Primo chuckles softly at that and smiles back.]

Of course, allow me to rephrase myself: Should your soul gem, or those of your friends, start to lose their shine again, I beg you to come to me so I can take a look.

In fact, I'll extend it even more. I'm familiar with many types of magic, and as I said even with the limits this place has imposed me I'm confident on my powers. Should you, or any of your friends, encounter problems regarding magic, be it your own or not, feel free to contact me as you please should you deem it necessary. I'll do everything I'm allowed to in this place to help.

[It's basically all he can promise right now. Of course, in his own agenda, there's a note already for whenever he returns to his place to check on Mami's world. It doesn't matter if she chooses to not contact him again or trust him, he will personally check her world and all its parallels, from there... He will decide what to do once he see how things are for real. It doesn't matter yet anyway.]

[ Mami seems really happy about having another ally in this strange place. Maybe there was hope for her ideals after all. ]

[Primo is pretty pleased himself. Though he has gained something to worry about, he actually appreciates that as those things are what keep him from twisting even more than he has already.]

Of course I wouldn't mind. I want to make sure they're all taken care of.

Then it's settled. Let's both work hard to guarantee that they are taken care of. I doubt any of them will be so weak as to need that, but it never hurts to have a shoulder to lean against, don't you agree?

I agree. Hopefully, I won't need your help, and we can just remain friends.
