Good afternoon, everyone. I haven't introduced myself, so I thought I'd take the time to do so. My name is Mami Tomoe and it's a pleasure to meet all of you. If you need any help adjusting to this place or anything at all, please let me know right away. I'd be happy to help, and in a new and unusual place, it's important that no one should feel abandoned and alone.

[ She takes a deep breath, the next part of her speech making her feel quite a bit uncomfortable and nervous. But she couldn't let Sayaka down. She promised this, and she had to do her best to make it a reality no matter how much other magical girls had let her down in the past. ]

While this would normally be kept a secret, I have decided, along with a college of mine, to reveal to everyone that I am indeed a magical girl, a puella magi as we call it. I made a wish, and in return, I was given magical powers to help protect people.

I don't particularly mind if you don't believe me, though I have been made aware that there are magical girls here from other worlds besides mine. You don't need to address me right now, though I'd like to have a party in the near future so we can introduce and meet each other. I would like for us all to work together, so if you have an interest in that, I do hope that you will attend my party. If you'd like to keep your identity a secret, we can also arrange for that as well.

[ She shuts the feed off, wondering if she's doing the right thing or not. But if Sayaka is backing her up on this, it can't turn out that bad... right? ]

[ And Mami's just too naive to know better. If this post proves anything, it proves that she's still too quick to trust, too quick to do anything to impress anyone who looks up to her. ]

If that's the case, then I understand your hesitance to trust things at face value.

[ Mami remembers you! And she tries, she really does, but she's such a flawed person. ;; ]

The magic I use sometimes is the same, like someone could make a wish, like saving their parents from dying and I could grant it but there will always be a big but to it. It could be that the parents were saved but the person who made the wish died, or that they died later on, or simply that the parents were saved in a parallel world while the person who made the wish is still without them. Sometimes I can take the penalty for myself and avoid such grim outcomes, but for the most part I prefer to avoid granting wishes which I'm not sure can be fulfilled without "but"s added to them.

[This should also explain why he seems to refuse to help people, the most direct way to do so could end bringing them pain anyway. It's not worth it.

Primo hums for a second before he dares another question.]

Mami-chan, do you know what would happen should your soul gem lose its shine?

You're gonna get her in trouble. She already thinks this whole thing is somethin' it's not.

[She studies Mami warily.]

No. I may suffer, but I will not let Miki-san do the same.

[ If anything, Mami leading Sayaka on is her own fault, so she'll make sure to take the fall for it. Or at least, that's what she intends on doing. If she'll have the bravery to do so later on is another story entirely. ]

Really? [ GUESS WHO'S BLUSHING AGAIN ] I'll get Kyouko to help me out. I mean, she's the same as us, so it's gonna affect her too. [ makes team-joining assumptions, gives no fucks ]

[ She frowned at that. It wasn't something she actually ever thought about which had more to do with the fact that she didn't want to think about it. Mami could have gotten the answer easily by asking Kyuubey, but she always just made an assumption. ]

I would lose my magic, I suppose. [ Pausing, Mami's voice grows a bit grimmer. ] I've never seen it happen myself. Perhaps I would die, seeing as I would no longer be able to defeat witches without magic.

Ah... that may be a good idea.

[ OOPS. Uh, I guess she better... warn Kyouko. ]

[A magic that serves to defeat witches. The witches that give her what she needs to keep nurturing her own magic. Without that she's without magic and unable to defeat the witches. Then what would happen if all witches were to be destroyed? If there were no more witches left for her to nurture her magic, would she go on living like a normal girl or would she die due not having witches anymore?

What's the difference between that and Ange? She made a wish for her family to return, she gained powers to defeat the evil witch that kept her family away. And she was blatantly and completely used and then thrown away like garbage.

He has more questions, the smell of foul play, the similarities with Ange's story, they are so strong that he can barely restrain himself. Mami's answers aren't clear, not because she doesn't want to be clear, it's obvious that she just has never questioned them, be it because she was that naive or because she didn't want to think of it. And yet it's because of that that it feels there's something wrong in all this beyond Primo's usual lack of trust. My name's Primo, as I said before I'm a wizard. I feel I should note, though, that in the place I come from a wizard is just basically a male witch. Of course I doubt the witches there have any relation with the witches you fight, but given the circumstances... Should your soul gem start to lose its shine again, I beg you to come to me so I can take a look.

I may not be one of your witches and I don't have grief seeds, but even limited as it's here my magic is still powerful and maybe I could find a way to help with that. Of course, only if you ever consider it needed.

A magical girl, huh? I've actually run into a couple in the past. Though no one I've known as a "puella magi," however. And frankly, given how crazy this place is, I've got no reason not to believe what you're saying.

Yeah, I thought so too. If we get her involved now, it'll make things easier back in Mitakihara. [ Because she's not just another magical girl — she's the same as them. The others all have their own cities and worlds to go back to, but Kyouko is someone she can get to know at home. ]

I don't see why I wouldn't believe you. Magic's nothing too strange where I'm from, and I've used plenty of it myself.

I'm hoping to limit the amount of invitations, which is why I haven't stated where it will be quite yet. Though that comes with the problem of neglecting to invite a few girls which may want to come.

You will have to convince Miki-san of this. She's following me of her own will, it's not like I'm forcing her to do anything.

It seems like there are quite a wide variety of people here. Anyone I would have told this to in my own world would have dismissed me and probably locked me up in a mental institution.
