[The feed clicks on and the first thing visible is hay strewn about on the ground- upon closer inspection, the hay is spattered with blood.
After the Scroll is set down to start recording, a fucking dragon comes into view- small enough to fit in the stables, apparently, but her wings are folded down and she's curled up tight. Around her are three of the knights of Highcrest, currently on the ground and moaning in pain- two are bleeding openly, the third is completely passed out.
And amongst it all is a man with pitch-black riding armor and a mask that covers half of his face. The axe in his hand is large, stained with blood, and Gerome hefts it to his shoulder for added effect.]
If anyone else so much as thinks of touching my wyvern-
[The lizard lifts her head slightly, slitted eyes staring curiously into the camera from over Gerome's other shoulder. The rider kicks at one of the knights with an armored boot and the man groans out in pain.]
-then next time, I won't hold back.
[He reaches forward and shuts off the feed.]

They've always made sure there was enough room in camp for all of us. I think they'll make sure she can stay with us now, too.
[She looks back at her communicator now, smiles a little.] I'm glad you are too, Gerome. We didn't all have to look for each other this time.
video;
[Not that he's still really even aware how to use them, but hey.]
Are you with anyone else now?
video;
[A shake of her head now.] No, I'm by myself. I don't think any of the others ended up in this district, too...
video;
I told Robin to go find you.
[FINE GEROME WILL DO IT HIMSELF.]
Now that I've found Minerva, we'll make our way toward you. Are you still in- Astralfield?
video;
Um, yes! I'm still here. I can wait for you and Minerva. [...After running looking for her mother after being hit by an itchy feet curse anyway.]
video;
[GR AND NOW GEROME HAS TO BABYSIT sigh.]
Send me your location now, and we'll fly to you.
video;
wonderfulterrible.]All right. Thank you... [And here she sends, through text, directions to some place near the edge of Astralfield through the power of brackets.] I'll wait for the two of you here! Then we can find the others, right?
video; offline
Yes.
[And Gerome pockets the scroll, still running the video (hasn't figured out how to shut it off yet, poor dear) and starts moving.
It actually.... takes far longer than expected. If Noire is still waiting, Gerome will show up somewhat angrily in several hours' time, walking on the hard ground with Minerva forlornly trailing after him.]

So she waits. And waits. Noire's almost tempted for a while to leave, maybe go find her mother again and find out if anything's happened to Gerome, but her communicator actually keeps her busy for a while. And, by then, she's just not sure what to do anymore! Oh no, oh no, oh no, decisions are hard... What if she leaves and just runs into more people she doesn't know??
Thankfully for her though, a certain masked person soon enters her line of sight... and the wyvern.] G-Gerome? You're here now?
no subject
As they approach Noire, he pauses, glancing back to his wyvern with a gruff sigh.]
Whatever they did to Minerva, she can't fly anymore.
[Another pause, this one a little more sheepish.]
...I got lost on foot.
no subject
Oh... Oh no. That's no good.] B-but she's not hurt, is she? Is she... really all right?
[She shrugs though, and manages a bit of a sheepish smile.] Um, that's all right. We all just got here. I think we can get back without getting lost now...
no subject
She doesn't seem to be in pain. Neither of us are sure of what the problem is.
[And then, a little sigh, as he sort of disregards her words in favor of a little more self pity.]
I'm not as good of a fighter on foot. If we need to fight in any battles, I'll be next to useless.
no subject
Um. I-I... I've still got my bow. I can help if we need to fight on the way...
[She looks up at Gerome again and nods, touching the bow at her back.] I... can do it.
no subject
[He hates feeling useless, but- the bow will come in handy. Gerome nods once, reaching up to pat at Minerva's neck.]
You haven't seen anyone else here?
no subject
no subject
[Meaning... not his mother. Or father.]
no subject
She nods, lowers her communicator again.] Lissa is here, too. But I don't know if... I don't know if some of the other, um, parents are here too and we just haven't seen them yet... They could be... right?
no subject
[Because it's better to think poorly of them, really.]
They would have made themselves known.
no subject
Are they back there by themselves? [Because that's kind of a scary thought with Grima still running around...]
no subject
[Then they'll die again. He doesn't even want to think about that.]
no subject
Oh no... We went back to change things, but... What if coming here ruins all of that?
