☣ oo1 - video/action for crystalden;
[we all know that crystalden can't be a technological district without it's fair share of scientists residing in it. whether or not there are already scientists living in the area, why not have one more: colress seems to be settled in quite well, despite the abrupt arrival here, and he's perfectly made himself at home in the TRON-esque district (though he'd rather chew off his own arms than be caught dead wearing any of those things they call "clothes").
maybe that explains the easygoing smile he has when the feed turns on with him and his five pokémon displayed-- even though that's an everyday thing, but whatever, details.]
Greetings, citizens! I come to you with the curiosity of a lost soul: I attempted to ask the locals for some information but was met with very little success. The townsfolk in this area don't seem very friendly, do they? [a chuckle.] Anyway: I can already gather that I was brought here without my knowing; the "how's" and "why's" can come later. At the moment, I have another concern at hand.
[it's at this point that he digs into his coat pocket, where he pulls out five small, ball-shaped, metal capsules. he displays them on the feed.]
As you can see, I have only five pokémon in my possession-- originally, I had a full party of six. From what I deduced, I seem to be missing my magneton. If anyone has seen it, I would be very much appreciative if you'd let me know A.S.A.P. If it helps with identification purposes, it has an Eviolite attached to it somewhere...
Ah! Speaking of, another thing I've noticed is the severe lack of pokémon amongst the crowds! Besides the ones I have in my possession-- [he points a thumb behind him, where they all make their own collective noises (mostly mechanical).] --I haven't seen hide or tail of a single pokémon in the area! An odd phenomenon, but perhaps I've simply been looking in the wrong places? I haven't had the chance to completely explore the region beyond Crystalden as of yet.
[he waves his free hand dismissively.] But I digress-- progress will be made in due time. In the meantime, if any pokémon trainers happen upon this message, please know that I am wholeheartedly interested in a possible battle to gauge your pokémon's strength at any point in the future!
...For research purposes, of course. [:)]

[at the second question, he hums.]
All attempts to "rule the world" with pokémon have been thwarted thus far, but it is entirely possible! They do bear capabilities of striking fear into the populace, after all, and there are several notable pokémon with power that's considered legendary! [don't encourage him, colress, you already worked for one looney with the same goal.]

I shall have to build an army of robots and they can battle your pokémon to decide who will take over this world!
[Cue insane laughter.]

...Well, thankfully many of my pokémon are mechanical in nature, so I won't have to worry about compensation! And I look forward to this challenge, fellow researcher!

It may have been lost when we were brought here.

[he takes a moment to think, then:] Thankfully there are other PKMN trainers here, at least! For a moment, I was beginning to wonder whether or not I was the sole trainer here!

Not everyone walks around with their Pokémon out in the open.

Yep. I'm a pokemon. Ultra super rare. You might even call me legendary.
One question though.

and to answer your other question. i haven't seen any wild pokémon around either. from what i can gather from the locals, they aren't familiar with pokémon. some have suggested that other districts may be different... but i've talked to some people in other districts and they don't seem to be present in others either, as far as i can tell.

Ahhhhhhhh! Hi, Colress! Finally, a Trainer I know!
Oh, yeah, that thing... I'm missing Naga, [her Serperior,] and I think everybody is at least one short of what they had before. It's weird... Why would they take one away?
--Wait a minute! The other thing you said, about there being no wild Pokemon... What if they want our Pokemon to repopulate the place?!
[This is going in a horrible direction already.]
video;
Rosa! Just as I was beginning to wonder!
[he's already seen several apparent pokémon trainers, and his arrival here was abrupt and unwilling, so he was starting to wonder whether or not he'd eventually see rosa here-- lo and behold, his question's already been answered!
naga... he's pretty sure that's her serperior. so he's definitely not the only one missing a partner; he remembers what everyone told him before her and motions to speak, but then rosa pipes up again with her odd hypothesis. at her theory (juvenile as it may be) he takes a moment to think.]
Hmm... A region with no pokémon led by a queen who intends to repopulate the region... Were that the case, it'd make no sense! [colress uses logic: it's super effective!] If that was the queen's intention, then why would she limit our pokémon on hand to one less? It'd be best to have as many pokémon as possible for more variety and more likelihood of matching like egg groups! In addition, wouldn't it be more simpler to smuggle wild pokémon to the land rather than kidnapping trainers? Or-- wait a moment...
[right. legal issues no matter what. bahh, anyway.] Either way, I'm quite sure our dear queen has ulterior motives. I recall someone saying there are individuals here who don't even know what pokémon are!
[cue collective gasp]
[video]
Ulterior motives... What could she possibly gain from taking a bunch of random people from wherever they were before and dropping them here? She definitely had subjects already, so it's not like she needed a kingdom to rule or anything...
But there's a bunch of people here who do know about Pokemon, even though a lot of others don't. So it doesn't seem like it was a shot in the dark, either.
[She grabs her hair buns in a gesture that seems roughly equivalent to someone else ruffling or pulling their own hair in frustration.]
Ahhhh, jeez! None of the movies I acted in were ever this weird! Besides, I think I'd rather just see what happens for now. It seems a little bit fun, too, doesn't it?
[video]
I spoke with that Queen, and our other Pokemon are apparently back at home.
[Apparently. He's hoping his luck hasn't run out!]
It could have been worse - imagine if none of our allies had come though!
video;
[smooth as ever colress. he shakes his head at grimsley's next statement.] I can't imagine such a circumstance happening: I'm already baffled at the fact that much of the populace aren't even aware of what pokémon are!
video;
other then people here. Grimsley lets out a laugh.]
It's not too baffling - this is a nexus of worlds. Our world may have only had Pokemon due to a simple flip of a coin - one difference, and we may have... 'animals' like these other worlds.
[He's not a scientist, of course. He's a gambler, curious about all these possibilities. He may have been down to the stables, and his Krookodile might be barred from returning...]
But - you hadn't thought of something like this? Hah... I suppose somebody like you wouldn't consider the chances of Sinnoh legends in Unova.

Pokémon trainer, right here! I definitely wouldn't mind a battle.

Fantastic! I certainly look forward to our future battle whenever you have the time, miss!
video;
Me too! I'm pretty free most of the time, so I can battle whenever you're ready. My team's been raring to go since we got here!
Oh, and no need to call me "Miss", either - that's way too formal! My name's Hilda.
