[The camera turns on, broadcasting upside-down until the boy holding it seems to figure it out and turns up correctly.] So that's what that does. Sorry about that.

[Pharos smiles a little at the camera, moving to turn it off but then looking back behind him. He's sitting on a bed, it seems, and... is there someone asleep in it?]

[ Despite, having her back turned to Pharos at the moment, Tear is mentally tired from the search she finished a few hours ago. She managed to explore the districts and meet with Jade before finding a make shift shelter for the time being. She happens to be sharing it with Pharos at the moment, since she took him under her care until he found his friend. She heard the brief noise and then a voice that seems far off. She shifts over to see what the noise is. ]

[Pharos looks over at her when she stirs, regarding her curiously.] Did I wake you up? I’m sorry. [Yea he’s just kind of sitting on the edge of her bed, watching her.]

[ Her eyes shot opened in surprise at the voice. She pulls at the her knives from their hidden compartment,but stops when she notices who it is that's speaking to her. She lets her hand relax as she sits up.]

Pharos?

[ That isn't creepy at all. She almost attacked a boy. Somehow this is going to be a problem because it's not good for anyone's health if the boy does this often. ]

[Pharos doesn't seem at all bothered by the fact that she just pulled knives out. Though he does look kind of puzzled.] You told me to stay by your side at all times.

[ Which isn't a surprise because Tear already has done it once. She puts them back and listening to what he's saying.

She almost sighs, understanding the situation now. ] My apologies. I did not mean for you to be with me even when we are safe.

Oh. [Pharos thinks over this for a moment.] What counts as safe?

[ Somehow the little boy reminds her of Luke whenhe first sets foot into the real world. ] I suppose anything that appears hostile, such as monsters or people who appear to pose danger to you.

Alright. [So, basically never. Still, Pharos hops off the bed, his communicator going with him.] Sleep well.

[ To him maybe, but to Tear, there's a good possibility of all kinds of danger. ]

You may stay here if you wish. [ She mused after a moment of silence. Her gaze softened a little at his tone because she is slightly concerned for his short answer. ]

[Pharos glances back at her, communicator turning with him to show the woman again.] Are you sure?

Yes, if you would like to, I do not mind.

[ Cute kids and Tear, yeah. ]

[Pharos nods a little, smiling again and moving back towards the bed, pausing halfway to turn off the video.]

[Checking the network had become a daily protocol for Labrys. She just expected the usual exchange of introductions and alliance-making, but when she checks this video... It was as her cooling systems went into subzero intensity upon seeing the boy's face. She didn't know why, but the sensors in this mechanical mind of hers startes to scream DANGER repeatedly like a relentless blunt object being struck onto her head. Just what was this kid?!

Seeing that someone was with him, though, made the instinct to act according to this feeling
of danger less resistable. Labrys quickly makes a reply, and tries to warn the woman with a distressed plea:]

Hey! You! Lady over there! Get away from him, he's... he's dangerous, ya hear me?!

[ Tear noticed the distressed... person that was shouting at her about how dangerous a little boy was.

She didn't exactly understand what the other was talking about. ]

Excuse me, I'm not quite sure what you are referring to. He's a child.

[ Maybe it was someone who was trying to play a joke on her? Tear didn't really appreciate it if it was. ]

[hey there Pharos is just leaning over to see what's happening!]

Who are you? [because you don't seem like someone he would know.]

[That skeptical look hurts her a bit. And the fact she just reacted with impulse made her feel ashamed. Still, she's sure this kid is bad news somehow, even if she isn't sure about it.]

I... I ain't quite sure myself. [Her voice lowers slightly upon saying that... It really hurts to admit the irrationality behind it.] But it's just... something my sensors are detecting from him that don't seem right! I know it's weird and strange, but I ain't lyin'---

[Her persuasion is cut off by the innocent question her conversation subject asks. She is utterly baffled. Why was her programming reacting to this child as something hostile, when he doesn't externally threatening at all?]

H-Huh? Ya talkin' about me...? [OH EVIL MOON THINGS IT'S TALKING TO HER AND ACTING PERFECTLY NORMAL. WHAT DO.]

[ Tear didn't mean anything by her look, but she doesn't understand where this girl is coming from. From a human point of view, she only sees Pharos as a harmless, little boy who needs to find his friend. ]

Sensors? What sort of sensors exactly, if you do not mind the question? It's quite difficult for me to believe that a mere child can be dangerous. [ though appearances again can be deceiving but it isn't in her right to judge unless it is proven. ]

[ She doesn't sound like she's lying at all, but Tear can't see it right now. Maybe later whens he speaks with Pharos again. ] I suppose if it helps, I can be careful.

[ and she turns a bit to hear Pharos speak hovering over her. ]

[If asked, Pharos certainly wouldn't deny that he would probably be considered dangerous- he sees no real reason to lie, after all.]

Yes. What's your name?

Um... I... That's...

[She fumbles a bit with Tear's question, looking down with obvious discomfort. Her hesitance to say is a complete 180 of her earlier impulsiveness. Should she answer that? It might make her trustworthy, yet if she's found out to not be human... That might lower her chances of being listened to. At least, that's what her insecurity tells her.

She can at least answer Pharos' question, albeit quite awkwardly.]

L-Labrys... My name is Labrys.

[ At least, he was honest. Tear didn't mind it too much if he told her the truth. It was easier to handle. ]

You are unsure?

[ She mused giving the girl her usually expressionless gaze. She didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable but there was a reason for what she had to say. Tear was an understanding person so she wouldn't doubt her straight away. She would probably ask Pharos if she didn't provide a direct answer soon. ]

Labrys. [ She mused when she heard the name as the girl answered Pharos ]

What is it that makes you uneasy about this boy's presence?

[Yea, but you have to ask first. Pharos also sees no reason to tell people unless they want to know.]

Hello, Labrys. My name is Pharos.

Pharos...

[He seems harmless, friendly even, but it dramatically contradicts her readings. Was it really a malfunction? Still, she supposes an explanation is in order. Strange information was more trustworthy than none... she hopes. Labrys gaze focuses on Tear once more.]

... Imma machine built specifically for combat and intelligence gatherin'. My body's equipped with a mechanism that senses a variety of parameters to assess situations. For some reason, my programmin' is concludin' that he's dangerous, but I dunno why... I don't see anythin' wrong, but I can somehow feel it.

[She looks at the ground again, guilty she couldn't explain it well.]

I'm sorry... for not givin' a good reason...

[ Tear listens to the other girl speak the boys name and go into deep thought. She doesn't ask for anymore than an explanation at least. She is certain that she won't let anything be unchecked. ]

I see, so you are not human so to say?

[ That surely explains her situation but Tear doesn't seem to change her demeanor very much. She's never heard of machines that were built for combat, but there was no doubt that this girl was telling her the truth. She can't seem to notice anything too out of the ordinary about her explanation. ]

No, it's quite alright. You've explained to me your situation, so there is no reason to apologize. I am Tear Grants. I apologize for not introducing myself sooner.

[ She turns towards Pharos, hoping to clear up this situation in one go. ]

Can you tell me what you are? It seems that she has no doubt you that you are not human.

[At Labrys's explanation, a slight look of recognition crosses Pharos's face. He has a guess as to what that means, but he won't say anything yet.

But with Tear's question...]

I'm a Shadow.

["You're not human?" The question strikes a proverbial nerve within Labrys. She's not sure how to respond, so she thought of electing to keep quiet while Tear talked with Pharos.

Until he responded to the other girl's question.]

So that's it...

[Why didn't she think of that sooner? Shadows can look like people, can't they? Though, he seemed really different from her own, or the ones she encountered...

Still, she needed some answers. And maybe to get them, she'll need to give some answers herself. With a renewed resolve, her expression becomes less self-conscious and more serious.]

... My full name is Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon: Labrys. I'm sure ya can guess what my purpose is. It's the defense and eradication of entities called Shadows. They're dangerous creatures made from the dark side of all livin' things.

[Wait a second... If she remembered correctly... She places a hand to her chin in deep thought, trying to analyze the data she's gathered.]

Well, mostly, anyway. Maybe he's like my friend? I never got hostility readings this high from Teddie, though...

[ Tear doesn't mean it in any particular way. Tear keeps a stoic expression as Pharos tells her what he is. The Labrys figure seems a little on edge with that explanation. At least after a moment, she replies to Pharos first. ]

Would you explain to me what a Shadow is later Pharos? [ she muses giving him a look but nothing indicating that she doesn't trust him. It is hard to believe a small boy can be dangerous.

It seems like Labrys answers that question for her. ]

I see, you were created for some kind of purpose with these beings called Shadows How dangerous and are you certain that they are all hostile?

[ There nothing potentially dangerous about Pharos, so Tear is still not certain if she will take that to consideration just yet but she is guarded. ]

[Pharos was fairly certain he'd explained Shadows a little bit- it had come up briefly when she'd been talking about monsters. But he nods all the same.

As for Labrys... well, he's not surprised at all to find out about her function. He's fairly certain the girl that put him inside Minako in the first place was something similar. He doesn't expect the comment about her friend, however, and it clearly gets his attention.]

You have a friend who's a Shadow?
