SECOND OATH | video

[ once again a pair of mismatched eyes greet the screen. ]

Hello, everyone..I hope you're doing alright? I mean, things seem pretty okay here although I'm sure there are dangerous things -- which is what I wanted to ask about.

I'm pretty experienced in combat and I think I could be helpful if trouble does end up happening. I trained for seven years at the Knight Academy in my own world, and have continued to train since then..

[headscratch]

What I'm saying is, I'd like to do what I could to keep everyone safe. I'm not that great at cooking, and I'm not that smart but -- I try really hard. So if there's a job where I could look out for you guys, I'd be happy to take it.

Any suggestions, maybe..? I've never done this before..

FAIL FILTER FROM SOPHIE

Also I had another question -- for everyone who lives in Mallow District..have you ever tried planting flowers? I was wondering because I'd like to help someone from my family plant some and well, I'm worried they'd be..

..Pillow flowers.

TO HUBERT; FAIL FILTER BECAUSE HOW DO I TECHNOLOGY

You still around, Hubert? I just wanted to check in on you. I'd like to come visit, if you aren't too busy. You're probably having better luck than I am at finding things to do.

[Lord and lady, what is Hubert going to do with you, Asbel. Aside from sigh exasperatedly in your general direction and wonder why he's brothers with you. Pillow flowers, are you kidding him.]

You mean to tell me that you can think of nothing to do in an unfamiliar location such as this? Did investigation and research never cross your mind?

[WARNING this may or may not be a rhetorical question]

[Hubert supposes that's a fair enough point. He's concerned about his niece as well, after all, but Asbel was the one with the kinder touch.]

Well, to answer your question about the native flora of the Mallowhallow district, it seems that there are, in fact, a couple of varieties of plants that grow as pillows, in some manner. Or at least that's what I remember seeing while looking through Crystalden's library. [He sighs.] For such an impressive archive, there's remarkably little of value to be found there.

[Except for the Pillow Rangers comics.]

A few, though from what I've seen Crystalden is perhaps the least populated with greenery out of all of the districts here. Things like grass, trees, or flowers seem almost like an afterthought here.

If you wish to get a better sense of plants that may be native to this world, Whitewood will be your best bet. But I should warn you that the locals there can be quite hostile to outsiders.

[Hubert thought the snobbery and tightlippedness of Crystaldenians was bad enough, but he'd gotten pestered by pint-sized pixies when he attempted to scope out Whitewood. He'd like to make another trip back to the district eventually, but he refuses to go in blind again.]

Nothing pressing, no. [He's actually in the middle of a Pillow Rangers comic, but he'll be done before Asbel and Sophie arrive in Crystalden. He just hopes this one won't end in another cliffhanger.] Do you need my address?

[Hubert recites a street address, precise and clear.]

It's located relatively close to the Lochwell border. Call me when you arrive and I'll come out to meet you.
