003 | Accidental Video/open for action in Orlea
[The video clips on suddenly, the result of her device hitting the ground, which was quickly followed by Terra herself hitting the street. She looks... unwell, occasionally glowing for just a moment. Something is... interfering with her, with her magic. Her own magic is different, of course, than the magic here, but what even Terra doesn't know is that she is partly a creature of pure magic. And the current incompatibility is literally tearing her apart.]
It... hurts...
It... hurts...
[Action]
But then she collapses again, and he automatically hurries back to her side. No matter what's happened to her, it's clear she's still in pain -- and very afraid.]
Terra? Can you -- can you hear me?
[He very cautiously reaches for her shoulder.]
Re: [Action]
Her lips part, as though she's trying to speak, but no sound comes out.
A hand snakes out to grasp Victor's arm.
There's a glow again, but it begins to fade, slowly returning Terra to her normal state.]
...What... what's happening to me...?
[Action]
Fortunately, the problem seems to partially fix itself -- at the very least, she's looking more herself again. He shakes his head.]
I -- I don't know. . . Whatever it is, it t-transformed you into -- something. . . How are you feeling now? Still -- still hurts?
Re: [Action]
I think... I think it's passed.
[...For now.]
It felt like I was drowning in myself.
[Action]
Good. I've never seen anything quite like that before.
[Someone dissolving into butterflies once, yes, but that didn't seem painful at all for her. This was something else.]
Can I t-take your home, or -- at least somewhere to sit down for a bit?
Re: [Action]
{She leans on him for support.]
I... that would be good, thank you. I don't live far from here.
[Action]
He nods.]
You're welcome. Just show me the way.
Re: [Action]
Leaning a little on Victor for support, she gets the door open.]
I've got a couch just inside.
[Action]
Let's get you to it, then.
[Over to the couch they go. Victor takes a look around as he helps her get settled -- hmm, cozy. And certainly roomier than the room he's got in Astralfield.]
Re: [Action]
Thank you, Victor. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there.
[Action]
You're welcome. I just couldn't leave you like that. . . I know we've only talked once, but -- well.
[The topic of the conversation means he feels a bit of kinship with her.]
Re: [Action]
Now though... I'm worried. What if that... what if that's what I really am? I know so little about myself...
[Action]
You -- didn't seem violent, while you were in that state, if it helps. More just -- confused.
Did being like that -- feel any different?
Re: [Action]
[Action]
[Victor folds and unfolds his hands as he thinks.]
I guess it's a part of you that hasn't been -- unlocked, until now? Or, at least, not unlocked here. . . The symptoms just came on without warning?
Re: [Action]
I'd been feeling... bad, all day. But it wasn't until just then that it really started to hurt. Thought a walk would clear my head.
[She shakes her head.]
Just wish I knew what it all meant.
[Action]
[He shakes his head as well.]
I wish I did too. Seeing you transform like that was -- disconcerting, to say the least.
Re: [Action]
I'm sorry if I frightened you.
[Action]
It's fine. It's not exactly like you could help it. And really, I'm a born worrier, so. . .
Re: [Action]
Either way, your coming to help means a lot.
[Action]
[He glances around.]
Is there a-anything I can get you, or. . . ?
[He says, knowing darn well he hasn't a clue where anything is.]
Re: [Action] YOU SAW NOTHING!
[She pointed towards what was, technically, a refrigerator. But Terra's world is a weird, hodgepodge of industrial revolution, higher technology, and magic technology. Icebox is the best term she knows.]
Could you bring me a glass of it?
[Action] >.> <.<
Of course.
[He heads over to the ice box and finds the pitcher, then locates a glass and fills it. After putting away the pitcher, he brings it over to her.]
Re: [Action] >.> <.<
Thank you. I needed that.
[Action]
Yes, I can see. Feeling a little better now?
