THREE | :o) ACCIDENTAL VIDEO

[The screen is black, and then suddenly there is light as Kurloz’s hand recedes away from the phone, not realizing that when he put it down he had activated the video function.]

[As he walks away you notice the room around him. For the most part it was dark other than two dim lamp shades above what looked like a voodoo altar on top of an old dresser. The dresser had chipped black paint and underneath it was paint that looked like barely dried human blood. On top of the dresser was an altar complete with candles, voodoo dolls, and a large goat skull surrounded by little offerings including gold, small animal bones, beads, and a bicycle horn. The walls had a base coat of black with a series of colors dripping down from the ceiling. For humans it was odd but innocent. For trolls it was the equivalent of blood, as if a massacre had been performed up there. He had all the colors of the rainbow and more, although red was more prominent within the array.]

[The troll walks up to one of the windows, covered by long, dark indigo curtains and opened them up, allowing the moonlight to spill in. With the light you notice that rather than wearing his usual skeleton suit he’s wearing blue jeans and a black button up shirt. Those that knew him would find this rather peculiar, but it all made sense as he came up in front of an old Victorian style full length mirror and undid the shirt. He took it off and tossed it to the side, showing off a very detailed tattoo. It was a tattoo of the skeleton structure of a sea goat, the top half taking up a large portion of his lower back and the tail wrapping up around his side before ending just around his right shoulder, as if the beast was swimming around the troll.]

[The skin around the tattoo was still raw, but rather than showing a red hue it was indigo, betraying his blood color to the world. But all in all the mime seemed happy with it, turning and checking out the back. Porrim really hadn't gone easy on this first timer, but he wouldn't have wanted it any other way.]

[Kaname was very busy doing research in Crystalden's Library when his see-through phone projected the video that was sent to the whole kingdom. The environment that was projected wasn't horrifying nor was it inviting to Kaname. He was prepared to ignore the video when Kaname saw his tatoo. He wasn't going to say anything, however his amazement escaped his lips]

Nice tattoo.

[The troll jumps a little when he suddenly hears a voice. He looks around and then straight to the phone with those blank white eyes. He moves over until all you see is his torso before picking up the phone and smiling.

His eyes lower and with one hand he signs 'thank you'. He then tilts his head in question and points to the phone. ‘Who are you?’]

You're welcome.

[Kaname tilted his bed a bit watching the silent one move around on the other side of the screen. Considering that his mouth looks like it was sewn shut, he expected that he couldn't talk, and that his gestures were written words.]

My name is Kuran Kaname. What do I call you?

[He holds up a finger for a moment and picks up the phone, still shirtless but not seeming to mind in the least. After some shuffling he stops, he switches the camera view and now you see a writing pad, a few pages ripped out with a blank sheet at the ready. Using an Indigo marker he begins to write.]

KURLOZ MAKARA :o)

[He switches it back for a moment to give a small wave, but then his interest is piqued by a thought and he turns to the page again.]

DO YOU HAVE ANY TATTOOS?

[Kaname waits patiently for his gestures to finish, before he asks anything.]

Kurloz Makara. Should I always address you as such?

[Not that he's lazy or anything, but it would be inconvenient to call him thus every time. And then he pauses for a moment while he waited for his next response]

No. Someone like me can't keep tatoos.

[Because he'll have them for thousands and thousands of years]

[Kurloz turns the camera back to himself, shaking his head at his question and waving his hand slightly. Nah, he didn't really care what you call him.]

[Usually he would just take no for an answer, but the way he phrased that had him interested. He raises an eyebrow, his smile switching into a perplexed expression. 'What do you mean "Someone like me can't keep tatoos?"']

If that's the case, I shall call you Makara.

[Somehow, he finds it rude that he's the only one doing the talking, but he is actually amused by their conversation]

A tatoo is a form of damage to the integrity of the body. I am a vampire, so any damage sustained heals immediately. Any debris left shall be eradicated by my body completely. So even if I get a tattoo, it'll be gone in a few minutes.

[Usually people would call him by his first name, Kurloz. But he didn't mind being called by his last name, just that it could get confusing if any of his fellow blood brothers ended up here.]

[Well that sucks. But Kaname, you do mention something that catches his attention. He turns back to the paper and quickly scribbles something down, pointing the camera afterward.]

A VAMPIRE? YOU MEAN YOU ARE A MOTHERFUCKING HUMAN RAINBOW DRINKER? WICKED...

[He'll deal with the problem once he meets Makara's other relatives.

He looks at the scribble cautiously, and thought that people would have easily detected that he was a vampire.]

I'm a vampire. But I don't know what that has to do with drinking rainbows. Is that even possible?

[Trolls didn't have relatives, just reincarnations of themselves, and sometimes you lived long enough to meet them. or in this case Kurloz met a him in an alternate universe and also his alternates decedent, his own ancestor. Really it was rather confusing. So yeah, deal with it when it comes.]

[Guy has seen a lot of things that where considered unbelievable, and even lived with his own kind of Vampire. He wasn't sure what a human vampire would look like, or act like.]

HAHA, NAH BROTHER, THOUGH THAT WOULD BE FRESH. A MOTHER FUCKING RAINBOW DRINKER IS A BROTHER OR SISTER WHO DRINKS THE BLOOD OF THEIR FELLOW TROLLS. TROLLS HAVE AN ARRAY OF BLOOD COLORS, THUS THE TERM "RAINBOW DRINKER".

[Kaname would find that very interesting. Considering that he himself is his own ancestor. So yeah, they'll deal with that later on.

Kaname listens to Kurloz curiously, thinking that the statement explained well why the shadow around the tattoo wasn't red.]

So, vampire trolls are called Rainbow Drinkers, yes? Do they also have fangs?

[To answer this he turns back to the camera and brings it close, showing his neck. On a small screen, and from afar, it would be difficult to notice but this close up you can now clearly see the many little puncture wounds around his neck. In a way he could just call them freckles, but they were all in a place acceptable to fangs, as well as all scarred up at the moment. He tends to get bitten a lot, though he obviously doesn't seem to mind.

[Kaname acknowledged Kurloz's actions as a proper answer to the question he posted.]

That's a lot. Curiously, does this mean you are a "Rainbow drinker" yourself?

[Kurloz has to shake his head on that one, nope not a rainbow drinker. ]

[This confirmed his theory that these rainbow drinkers couldn't turn humans or trolls. This was comforting, knowing that his sister would be a little safer.]

You seem to have a lot of bites.

[as far as he knew, the only trolls that could become rainbow drinkers where Jade bloods, and it was a natural thing. So no, none of the one's he knew could turn anyone else. Though that would be sweet.]

[He shrugs, and then leans against the counter still watching into the camera. He thinks for a moment and then raises an eyebrow at Kaname, tilting his head. He points towards the camera and then with two fingers pokes himself in the neck, mocking the action of a vampire bite. "do you bite?"]

[He thought that there are other beings that are as powerful as he was. He's always cautious for his sister's sake]

[He patiently looks at his movements before thinking of an appropriate response.]

If you want to know if I bite, Makara, the answer is 'yes'. That is how I take the blood from a human or a vampire.

[Huh, the way he says it with his last name makes his words sound rather stern, causing the troll to blink and his face to go blank. He didn't think it was necessarily a bad question, different species and all that.]

[He tilts his head, it's almost like Kaname doesn't like having to do such things. He noticed Porrim was the same sometimes, but once she found willing donors she at least acted fine with it. But he wasn't really sure. He looked around the room for a moment and then another question popped up. He moved to the note pad again for this one.]

CAN YOU ONLY MOTHER FUCKING DRINK HUMAN AND VAMPIRE BLOOD? WOULD THAT NOT GET DULL AFTER AWHILE?

[He wasn't proud of this fact, but at least he's honest. If he didn't need it, he wouldn't take anyone's blood. But he had to live and thrive.

A few moments later he looked at the note pad of Kurloz and chuckled slightly.]

I can drink from other sources too. But, it never gets dull if you drink the blood of the person you love.

[He tilts his head, and appears to be thinking of this concept. Not being a blood drinker himself he can't possibly understand it, so eventually he gives it up. He glances down at the phone and raises an eyebrow. Love you say? ]

It's hard to explain. But a person's blood, when you love them, and they love you, can quench your thirst for blood much longer.

[So for human vampires, love led to satisfaction... again, he wasn't sure if such a thing happened with rainbow drinkers, but he suspects having a emotional attachment did effect them as well. Or maybe that was his own mind adding things in that just wasn't there. Really he couldn't tell since the only rainbow drinker he knew was known also for her...open heart.]

[His eyes focused back on the screen as he left his thoughts behind, filing them for possibly another day. He then quickly scribbled a few words down.]

ARE THEY HERE?

[He nodded politely]

Yes they are. For more than a month before I arrived.

[Ah, well it seems this place has granted a few miracles to its citizens. He smiles, happy for you two. He just wishes his own girl had made it down to the planet. Oh well, he didn't fret about such things, there was no point to it.]

Do you have people from you're realm here in this kingdom?

[He nods, lifting up three fingers. Although... He does then show two fingers and makes a so and so hand gesture.]

[He finds this gesture a little odd.]

At first there were 3? Does this mean the other one died?

[He shakes his head, no. Then turns back to the page.]

THOUGH THAT NOISE AINT COMPLETELY WRONG, WE ALL HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THE KISS OF DEATH. BUT ONLY TWO OF US HAIL FROM MY WORLD BEFORUS, OTHER ONE WAS BORN AND RAISED ON EARTH.

Oh that's a curious bit isn't it. [He remarks] Kiss of Death?

Are these three friends of yours?

[He just smiles at that, friends was one way of putting it, but most of his "friends" back home preferred to avoid him. He tended to scare people off, but he wasn't bothered by it, there was no point in changing oneself in order to suit another's image.]

[Instead he focuses on explaining himself.]

BEFORE THE MIRACULOUS BIRTH OF THE NEW UNIVERSE WE LIVED AND DIED FOR FIRST TIME. A MOTHER FUCKER WHO CONSIDERED HERSELF OUR LEADER ENDED OUR DULL LIVES WITH ONE OF THE MOST SHATTERING OF EXPLOSIONS THAT HAS EVER FACED THE RIGHTEOUS LAND... AND YET THIS ALSO ENSURED OUR SURVIVAL.

[He'd certainly admire that.]

I'm beyond speechless. But I think it's all for the best, yes?

[Kurloz smiles, but it's a little drawn in the way that says he's not so sure about that. He has met all of his other selves from all other parallel universes, except for the one he knew he'd never meet. The one who was wiped from existence, his last important decision in life. He supposes on a personal note it was for the best, but now many of them still continue to suffer from the infliction's they had in life. The mute is still mute, the deaf is still deaf, and the boy who suffers from brain damage will spend billions upon billions of years still unable to put together a single thought.]
