--is this thing?

[The sound of rapid percussion can be heard as Eep repeatedly attempts to smash her 'device' against a rock. Then another odd sound, followed by a close-up of the roof of Eep's mouth. Yes, she is chewing on her device--but only for a second. Long enough to turn the video on with her teeth.]

How does this work? There's nothing to blow into.

[As Eep inspects her device, the camera shows the sky--the trees of whitewood--a thick mane of unkempt hair--and then some rather dirty, bared feet.]

H-hello? Guy?! Dad?! Anyone? This... this isn't Tomorrow, is it? I need to get to Tomorrow! It's really important, because...

Oh, no! The End! Did it come already? Did I miss it? Dad? Dad?! Are you here?!

Ugh! This thing is stupid. It doesn't even work!

[More banging sounds ensue.]

I need a shell. Maybe then everyone will finally hear me...

[And the video feed is still going--Eep is moving within the whitewood forest, sniffing trees and new foliage and searching for--you heard her--a shell. You'd see a close up of her tiger-skin outfit and rather large, muscular thigh as the video feed swings with her arm at her side.]

You wanna stop banging that thing and listen for a second?

Ack!

[And suddenly the world is spinning as the device was tossed rather abruptly away.]

It talked.

[Sniffing can be heard, then Eep picks up the device with a finger and thumb, staring into it curiously.]

Are--are you alive? Talk. Talk!

[The banging continues.]

[Giddy excitement can be heard. Then Eep is smiling, looking at the face on her device with a gasp and wide eyes.]

Hiiiii~!

[She's just grinning, the look of excitement never waning.]

What are you?

I'm a human. The thing you're holding is tool, not anything alive, nothing to be afraid of.

Why don't you tell me where you are and I'll help ya out?

Huu-man? [Another wide grin.] Hi, Human! I'm Eep.

And 'Tool'. [She considers this.] I like Tool.

Oh! I'm in a forest! I think it's called Whitewood.

[Hoo boy, he's heard enough about Whitewood to make him want to avoid the place. As for this girl? The cave girl named Eep? That was different.]

Yeaah. Actually, a Human is what I am. My name is Duo. Pretty sure you're a human too.

Aaanyway, I'm gonna head over to where you are.

[She giggles at that. She's a human, too?]

Duo.

[And now Eep is confused again.] But you're already here.

Nope. You'll see when I get there.

Okay.

[Eep sits down, staring at her device for a while, legs drawn in and toes curling in anticipation. After waiting for a couple of minutes, grin never diminishing, she breaks the silence.]

Are you here yet?

Nope. Might take a little while.

[He really isn't in any big hurry to go there and be harrassed by the fairies.

But soon enough, as he makes her wait, a good twenty minutes or so, he arrive.]

Hey. Eep. Where are you specifically? [She better not jump out at him..]

[A disheartened sigh.] Okay...

[After about five minutes of waiting, Eep gets restless and beings to wander a bit, looking around at trees and the different shrubbery and flowers that grow here. She thinks she sees something up above her, in the trees, and is about to quickly climb up and investigate when she hears her device talk to her again. With bubbling excitement, Eep drops back to the ground from the lowest branch.]

I'm right here!

[And he's coming into the nearby clearing. He spots her jumping down and approaches s she's looking at her device.]

Hey there...

Eep?

[Well that's strange. Crouching to lift the device, Eep tilts her head as she inspects it thoroughly. It almost sounds as if Tool's voice is coming from two different directions.

Then she hears a closer, deeper tone and Eep leaps away, device clutched in her hand as she growls at--the same face as Tool. Eyes wide and jaw dropping, Eep lopes closer, looking from her device to the person standing before her.]

You're big! How are you in two places at once?

[This world just brings in all kinds, doesn't it? Kodachi can't help but stare as this.. What is she, some sort of cave woman? Flips out. In the end, she raises her fingers to her lips and titters.]

Teeheeheehe~; what's this? Do I spot before my very eyes the earliest ancestor of Akane Tendo?

I believe I do~.

[Jumping slightly--there was another voice coming from Tool! This time it sounded very different: female.]

What's an Akane Tendo?

You haven't the slightest idea just how relevant that question is.. For now let us say she's similar to you, but many many years in the future.

[Kodachi can't help but giggle at her own joke, but then shakes her head.]

Before I answer your other questions, you will need to know at least a tiny bit about this.. Tool. Turn it around carefully until you see a face.

[She crosses her arms and waits patiently.[]

[Eep simply stares at 'Tool.' There are too many words she can't quite understand.]

Huh?

[Turning the Tool over, Eep stares at this new face inside it. Gasping, she drops it face up on the ground and jumps around it, grinning excitedly as she moves in hopping circles around the phone. At one point she even reaches out to touch it with a knuckle.]

You're inside Tool, too! Are you real? Are you alive? What's your name?

[Excited much? Yes, very.]

[And not just any face, a very pretty, slender, asian face!. She's too busy staring at the cavegirl pouncing around like a hyper cat dancing around a laser pointer to remain looking regal- She's clearly caugh off of her guard.]

[She doesn't get paid enough for this.]
