[The screen flickers on, but it's a little difficult to see Flandre, since she seems to have holed herself up somewhere with no natural light. Some artificial light shines on her, but she is mostly in shadow. And she looks really upset.]

I broke three of this stupid things already. [She shakes the communicator vehemently for a moment before holding it still again.] And I still can't find Sakuya or Remilia or Meiling or even the boring librarian! [She pouts indignantly at the camera and then gives it a very commanding look.]

So someone help meeee. I'm bored and the sun keeps me inside and I don't know where I am and there's nobody to play with and I'm hungry and I want my tea!!! [After shaking the camera again, she throws the communicator across the room, which seems to shut the video off.]

[Wooow, this girl almost makes Saionji seem mature. And that's really saying something.]

No one will want to help you if you keep acting like that.

[It seems the throw didn't break the communicator, which is probably a good thing, because it isn't long before Flandre's face appears again and she looks just as grumpy as before.]

You don't know that! You want to help me, don't you? You should come play with me! [She actually perks up a little at that thought. Because yay, playmate!]

[Okay, Hinata will admit that he honestly has nothing better to do right now. So maybe he'll humor her. Maybe.]

...Play what?

A game! Duh! [That was so specific, Flan, thank you for that.

She grins at him, and it really is just a super playful grin. For now, at least.]

I'm just really bored and I don't have anyone to play with. We could... we could play tag or something!

[Tag? Really? Hinata is too old for that shit.]

I'd rather not.

[Oh... now she does not look pleased with you, nope.]

But you said you wanted to play with me! [She is just... going to make stuff up now, whatever.] And I wanna play tag!! [ANGRY HUFF.]

When did I say that?

[And Flandre certainly isn't winning any points with Hinata, either.]

[Unfortunately, she's a little brat.]

I don't know! I just know you said you'd play with me. And if you don't then I'm gonna get really... really... mad. [She's starting to look pretty menacing now. Not to mention there seems to be the beginnings of a multi-colored glow surrounding her.]

[That's a bit odd. . .a child? All the what out here, on her own? Strange. . ]

I'm sure your companions are searching tirelessly for you. Who knows, perhaps they are somewhere within this realm as we speak?

I suppose I could bring you something to eat. 'Twould be a crime to let a young one such as yourself starve.

[Oooo, someone offering to bring her food?? Yes please!]

I won't starve that easy! [She replies, beaming.] And I'm not that young either. [Small huff.]

But if you can get me some blood tea, I'll make sure not to hurt you, promise! [Biiiig smile.]

[Tarkus raises an eyebrow at her taste in tea, but doesn't quite question it. ]

Very well. I will do my best to find such refreshments for you. Pray, what district do you reside in? I shall arrive post haste.

Really?? [She is obviously way too excited by what this guy is offering for her.]

I dunno the name of the place where I'm at, but... there's lots of fluffy pillows everywhere! They were only fun to play with for a little while. [Pout.] Now there's feathers and fluff everywhere...

Mallowhallow. . .very well. I shall be on my way.

[Tarkus moves to head out before pausing]

Is there anything about your dwelling that makes it stand out? It would be a fools errand to try every house in the district in an attempt to find yours.

[Huh... what makes her house stand out? She has to think about that for a few moments before brightening up again.]

I broke lots of pillows outside, and I put them all over the windows so no light can get in! Is that standing out...?

Yea verily. I shall arrive posthaste.

[With that, the video clicks off as Tarkus sets out on his epic quest. . .which is pretty much glorified delivery service.]

[Sometime later, there's a knock at Flandre's house, Tarkus carrying a bag containing a sandwich, some sweets and some bottled iced tea]

Young miss? Are you there?

[With her permission, he would enter and hand over the requested items]

[At the knock, Flandre blinks and then creeps up on the door. She opens it slowly and peers out with one eye, careful to stay in enough shadows.]

Oh! You're the guy bringing me my tea! [She smiles at him and opens the door more to let him in, still being careful to stay out of the sunlight.]

You're not much of a maid, but I guess you'll do!

[ Uho, a cute girl in distress. Suffice it to say, a girl-crazy fool like Kumagawa cannot resist offering his "help". ]

『... Hey, hey, calm down! I'll play with you.』

[Oh, she definitely looks excited at that.]

Really?? You should come here and play with me right now. [She bounces a little, very child-like in her excitement.]

『... ... ...』

[ Suddenly, tears start streaming down Kumagawa's youthful face. ]

『Uwah, sorry, sorry! Crying out of the blue like this ... how humiliating!』

[ Feigning an embarrassed smile, Kumagawa dabs at his eyes and sodden cheeks with his handkerchief, though the tears just keep on flowing. ]

『But I can't help it. You see, this is the first time a girl has ever invited me to her home before ... I'm deeply touched. In fact, I might just turn a new leaf and strive to become a better person!』

『... Nah, I lie.』

[ And just like that, he's no longer crying, and his face is completely dry.

It's almost as if he'd never cried at all. ]

『Anyway, what kind of consoles do you own? PS3? Wii? Or maybe ... even a Wii U?』

[ Because Kumagawa's idea of "play" consists of two things:
1) Engaging in epic Shounen manga-esque battles (in which he loses 100% of the time).
2) Playing the vidya. ]

[That is, hands down, the most intense and insane display of human emotion Flandre has every witnessed. She stares at the screen for a good long moment before poking it curiously.]

Mortals are really, really strange, aren't they?? [She continues to look baffled for only a few moments more, though, before breaking into a grin again.] I love it!!

[However, she has absolutely no idea what this guy is talking about.] I don't have... con...soles?? [Blinking, she tilts her head to the side curiously.] What's a weeeeeee? [She draws the word out a hell of a lot longer than she ought to.]

『Hmm? No consoles? Well, that's ...』

[ Kumagawa heaves the most disappointed-sounding sigh ever. ]

『... lame. L-A-M-E, lame.』

『It's too bad. I was really looking forward to having a fun one-on-one match in 「Mario Kart」...』

[ He gives another sigh, though this time it's softer, shorter. ]

『... Oh well. Nevermind. What was that you said about mortals? You make it sound as though you aren't one.』

[Now he's just making Flandre more and more curious. And a little irritated that he's not explaining himself properly.]

What's a Mario Kart? I don't even know what you're talking about! Is it a new game I can play??

[She might be pouting a little bit now. Just a little though.]

Of course I'm not mortal! [She turns her back to display her bejeweled wings to the camera.] I'm a vampire! [She says this brightly, as if it is the most natural thing in the world.]

『Wha--? Vampire?!』

[ Cue shock and surprise!! Could Kumagawa just be faking it, though? After all, Flandre looks like a normal girl, aside from her strange wings (which could just be fake; cosplayers are getting more and more ambitious these days). Only a fool would believe an outrageous claim like, "I'm a vampire!" ]

『... In-ter-est-ing.』

[ But it just so happens that Kumagawa is one big damn fool. Case in point, he totally believes Flandre, which encourages him to suggest the following: ]

『Yeah, 「Mario Kart」 is a game that we can play together. We don't even need a game console for it.』

[ His lips form yet another smile, though this time it carries a sinister edge. ]

『I'll show you once I get there.』

[Well, of course he believed her. It's only obvious, isn't it? And where she's from, that's not really such an odd thing to be. At least, that's what her sister has told her.

She looks completely ecstatic when he finally agrees to play a game with her.]

Yes! I love learning new games! Meiling's the only one who really plays anything new with me! How soon can you get here??
