[She is to be living here now? Or is she only supposed to be sleeping here? There is only pillows. Only she is not tired yet. There is only one reason to be having so many pillows if she is not sleeping. She tucks her larva, Silkie, under her arm and grab a pillow with her other.

If she is going to be living in another new world she is going to have to follow the new customs of this land, so she flies until she finds someone, anyone. She flies toward them and calls out in warning.]

I wish to initiate a fighting of pillows!

[You sure did just get hit with a pillow by a floating orange teenage girl.]

Wait. Wh-wh-wh--?

[Did Chloe hear that correctly? The voice sounded friendly enough, but it sounded from above. Quickly, Chloe turns around and stares in shock at what she is seeing. She stands there, eyes wide, as her mind tries to process that yes, she is seeing what she thinks she is seeing.]

[Starfire instantly stops mid-air, hesitating. A pillow fight is not fun unless everyone is ready. She lowers the pillow down by her side and floats closer than is considered acceptable.]

Is that not the purpose of this place? Is this not the land of sleep and fighting of pillows?

[Did she get something wrong? There are pillows.]

[Okay, now Chloe is even more confused. The girl(alien?) seemed pretty let down about the pillow fight, or lack thereof. But Chloe was still searching for answers. She couldn't just take a break and... But the concern on the girl's face. Starfire's genuine expression frees Chloe's restricting vocal chords, and she smiles.]

Hi. My name's Chloe. Do I get to know the name of my fellow adversary before you start hurling pillows?

[She's game. Chloe will simply wait to ask questions later.]

[Starfire perks back up right away. She understands now. They must make introductions before pillow battling.]

Of course you may friend. You may call me Starfire. Is it time for the pillows now?

[She holds the pillow up by her chest. She is unperturbed when the larva begins chewing on the edge of the pillow.]

[ghostly_stutter]

[The larva is a little perturbing. Not gonna lie. Chloe looks at it strangely for a moment before trying to smile back up at Starfire and her pillow.]

Sure. Let the pillow fighting...

[Suddenly Chloe takes off running, stooping down to grab an armload of pillows. Two smaller ones she juggles in one arm, laughing. The larger pillow she keeps between her and Starfire as a mediocre shield.]

Begin!!

[What is strange about her Silkie? He's adorable, is he not? Maybe if Chloe holds him she will like him more.

Starfire sets Silkie on the ground and grabs another pillow. She scoops up another pillow and giggles.]

I shall be victorious!

[The she chucks the pillow at Chloe, making sure not to use her full strength. She would not wish to hurt her new friend.]

[Chloe sincerely doubts it, though she is sure Starfire's Silkie is adorable on some level. Larva sometimes come with dead bodies, and after all the ones she's raised, Chloe will keep a bit of distance. For now.

Laughing at Starfire's eager shout and empty words--as of yet--Chloe grins her own little challenge, turning to throw a small pillow and gasping as she sees Starfire lob one her way. Ducking, Chloe brings up her shield-pillow and is hit, but barely feels it. It's then Chloe peeks out to aim a small pillow Starfire's way.]

You sure about that?

[Chloe throws her other small pillow a few seconds after the first one, then reaches down for more ammo.]

You'll have to get me to admit defeat, first!

[sunbloom]

[The trajectory meant Itsuki didn't see it until there was a modestly-sized pillow in her face, stopping her just outside the door to her house. It just seemed to... hang there for a moment, until she reached up a hand and pulled it down, looking at it in confusion, before looking up into its flight path and finding the probable source several feet off the ground.]

Isn't it a little sudden for a pillow fight? I mean, I'm unarmed. Except for, well, this one.

[Which she chucks back in the floating girl's direction with surprisingly good aim. The larva escapes her notice entirely.]

[Starfire's face drops slightly. Did she not understand pillow fighting correctly?

But then the girl throws her own pillow, and instead of dodging it she giggles when it hits her.]

Glorious shot, friend!

[She scoops another pillow and flings it.]

[The one downside to having a cover to keep is that you don't have access to power as a civilian. Then again, being able to just turtle behind a sunflower the size of her house behind her would defeat the purpose of the exercise, so Itsuki made do with rolling aside from the thrown pillow and plucking the head off a nearby pillow flower. After a moment's private amusement at the flower having been a sunflower, she tossed it up, imagining it being her tambourine instead. Not that she... well... threw that, normally.

All the same, she was grinning. She could worry about being stranded here another time. For now, she was in her element: the heat of battle(?).]

You're not bad yourself. But it'll take more than that to beat me!

[ When Castiel is hit with a pillow, he is unsure what to make of it. Was he under attack? Surely if the intent was to hurt him the attacker would have used something less fluffy than a pillow. He turned to face the floating girl and in response to her exclamation simply asked, ] Why?

[His simple question throws her off. She floats over to him and responds tentatively.]

I was initiating the Earthly custom of battling with pillows. Is that not what this land is for? Why else would there be so many pillows?

Humans created pillows because they spend roughly one third of their lives sleeping and their necks, despite being a strong and important part of their bodies, are easily discomforted.

[ Pause. ] Is there really a battling with pillows custom?

[maybe he was getting too old for this shit. This was the first thought in Bro's head when the pillow hit. He should have expected something like that happening eventually, and shown off his awesome ninja skills, but he was actually caught off guard.

But his guard doesn't remain off for long as he brings his katana out of his strife deck and turns towards the pillow thrower]

Strife? [wait, she said something about pillows. As quick as the katana appears, it disappears to be replaced with a weird long nosed plush puppet which gets tossed back to the girl]

[Starfire freezes when the katana comes out. That was not how she has played pillow fighting. Is this a new way? But then there is a new pillow flying at her. Is sword is actually a pillow!

She catches the pillow and flies toward him smiling.]

Please tell me, how does a Katana become a pillow?

[puppetcrumpet]

That wasn't a pillow. [he pulls another smuppet out of his sylladex]

I put it back in my strife deck and brought out the puppet.

[The problem with being stuck in your head is that you don't hear declarations of pillow fights coming out of left field. So the book he was trying to read and take notes ended up out of his hands, in his face, then somewhere on the ground. Erk himself almost toppled over, but managed to stay upright.]
