Hey chicklets, how you all been? Nothing's been blown up yet, has it?
Got a word of advice for you, though. [ She holds up a bottle that has only a mouthful of liquid left in it. ] Fuckin' moderation. Apparently fairies know a thing or two about liquor. [ Annnd then she gulps down the last of her drink in one go, grimacing and sticking her tongue out in disgust after it's gone. ]
[ So yeah hi world, Apollo's basically been on a bender for a week (or more, hell if she remembers at this point) so she hasn't been paying attention to anything. From the disheveled look of her, she probably just woke up for the day (even though it's afternoon) and is somewhere between hungover and still a little drunk from the night before. The woman is also wearing an excessive amount of shiny, mostly gold jewelry - some of it's left red marks on the skin of her face and chest where she fell asleep on it, other pieces are literally weaved into her little (now falling apart) braids. ]
Anyway, I discovered a disturbing lack of shit to kill here. Come on, aren't there any dragons or sea monsters or giant tigers or some shit I can wrestle to the ground and shoot in the face? Gods, girl's gotta get some energy out once in a while, you know.

[ACTION]
Normally the woman wouldn't have stood taller than a creature of such a height, but because of the stone marker that she was standing on, she was able to peer curiously down at him. Kurloz was certainly among a species that Apollo had never seen before, but it would seem that like many others, the stitches were what caught her attention first. A grimace crossed her face as she stared. ]
Mine's Apollo. [ Nods toward his mouth. ] The fuck's that shit about?
Re: [ACTION]
At first, Kurloz had only thought that it would be interesting to take her on. A good practice session to get him back into gear before he had to go home and fight a war. But now he was starting to look forward to this, his blood reacting to the scent of a challenge.
But her voice caught his attention back from wherever his thoughts where wondering and he tilted his head.]
I DIDN'T AGREE WITH WHAT ATROCITIES MY MOTHER FUCKING VOICE DECIDED TO COMMIT. SO I GOT RID OF IT. IT'S A LONG STORY.
[ACTION]
Instead, she was eyeing him over pretty intently. In her mind she made a few connections to some of the beings she had encountered in her extensive travelling, but was also mapping out this new "troll" thing. The horns were an interesting feature (idly she wondered if he used them for stabbing) and she was very quickly scanning him for weapons. Being a firearms expert, Apollo herself had two pistols holstered at her hips - a constant part of her inventory regardless of where she went, but one that she typically refrained from using if the intent was not to kill. ] You're gonna be one tough son of a bitch, aren't you?
Re: [ACTION]
But perhaps she picked up on the fact that he hardly seemed fazed by all this. In fact Kurloz was confident, standing tall and strong and his eyes never leaving her. He had weapons, in fact he was a multi-weapon specialist, but he wasn't planning to use any of them today. He considered it to be a disadvantage, and he too wasn't planning on killing the other.
His smile stretched, pulling the stitches as far as they would go and still not flinching. An affirmative on the statement. Cause he really didn't weapons, claws, or teeth to handle himself.
And then his eyes filled with color, flashing between shades of purple. And then a voice creeps up into her head, deep as the darkest nights.]
(ooc: Just using Telepathy, but since he's using his chuckle voodoo's to do it, it'll sound like a voice out of a nightmare and she may feel a chill down her back. The black background is the only indicator that it's telepathy and not TEXT.)
[ACTION]
Apollo rolls her shoulders, a rather smug look on her face the whole time. But then that voice is in her head, and she can't stop the chill that runs down her spine or the first look of real displeasure that takes over her features - in fact, a noise not unlike the hiss of an angry cat escapes her throat in response to the voice as well. By her reaction it's not hard to tell she's not a fan of the telepathy thing, but she is quick to bite back any further discomfort. ] Neither will I! [ And then she's leaping from the tombstone to the ground and lunging forward the second her feet touch the dirt with the intention of landing a hit to his jaw. ]
Re: [ACTION]
Ironically, it's not her words or her confidence that throws him off, but that hiss. There was no way she would know about Meulin, after all, his kitten wasn't here. But that hiss brought up some pretty bad memories involving the kitten, and gave her the chance to land the first punch.
But that hit was enough to knock him back into the game, and rather than stagger he rode it out and flipped, aiming to do some retaliation damage. However, he was ready in case he missed, lunging forward as soon as he came out of the flip and aiming for another try at a hit. It was difficult though, since she was so much smaller than him.]
[ACTION]
But, like her opponent, Apollo had a fast reaction time. Not only that, but it was also becoming very obvious that she was very quick. Almost cat-like, really. Though she had been forced back a pace by the blow, she right away was scrambling to the left before he could push her back any further. Attempting now to attack from the side, the woman advanced on him and once again aimed for the upper body with her closed fists. ]
Re: [ACTION]
He just barely managed to block the first hit, bringing up his arm to take most of the force. However the hit threw him off, causing him to stumble to the side and very sloppily managing to block the second hit. He realizes quickly that he was in a bad spot and brought his arms up to protect his upper body and head, however this wasn't just merely a protective stance as he lowered himself and brandished those horns at her direction. He didn't expect to hit her but he was hoping to throw her off for a second as he fixed his footing. Meenah was right, he had gotten rusty over time, but he was quickly adjusting and remembering how he fought back when it meant life or death.]
[ACTION]
Apollo had immediately taken advantage of his stumble by rushing him, trying to knock him around as much as she could before he regained his footing. His protective stance turned out to be effective though - the horns got her to ease off and back up, instinctively careful (but not afraid) of them. She'd hunted enough boar and stag to know to keep her eye on appendages like that. He was successful in throwing her off to fix his footing, but with as quick as she was, it allowed her time to catch herself as well. A couple feet of distance between them now, Apollo bounced a bit on her feet as she realigned her arms and fell back into a fighting stance. Then she was grinning again and challenging him with a gesture of her fingers that very clearly meant "come at me". ]
Re: [ACTION]
[It was a good thing she was careful, not for her, but for himself. Troll's where strange creatures and if she had decided to whack the horns out of the way instead of dodge...Well he would be down for the count. Troll horns where pretty worthless things. But she didn't know that, and he's depending on her to stay blind to it.]
[He watched her back off but remained in a defensive position, just in case she lunged. His eyes lowered as he analyzed the situation, wondering what would work best. But then he figured this fight was more for the fun of it and he shouldn't take it that seriously. He returned the grin and then lunged forward, stopping just before he reached her and flash stepping behind her, aiming a kick at her back.]
[ACTION]
As prepared as she was for him to come to her, she had become spoiled in her most recent battles by annoyingly slow opponents. ] Woah! [ But because of Apollo's excellent reaction time (and because she was currently defensive of her upper back due to it still being a bit tender from an earlier adventure-gone-wrong), the woman managed to just barely avoid being hit by suddenly dropping to all fours. Still on the ground, she spun around so she could face him again. Never one to overtly strategize and instead simply react, Apollo made the immediate decision to bow her head and charge upwards in an attempt to flat out headbutt him in the stomach as hard as she could. ]
