video - action for astralfield

[The video comes on, and what you see... is the sky. No, Telma's not flying, she's not an Orlea-ian.
No, she's on the sholder of a... giant moving tree? There's only a bit of it, but... well, she's summoned
Exodus to help her explore.
From her dreams.
Telma doesn't think it's too odd, however - these powers? She just has max JP, does she not?
But something has bothered her this whole time. So, after a few moments, she speaks.]

Silence.
[A pause, as Telma's ears twitch a bit more.]
The land is silent - the spirits have left. I cannot hear them.
[Does that mean this land is without Magick? ...No, it's clearly not. Telma is feeling unnerved, horribly shaken by the lack of the voices.]
I am yet another new arrival - tell me. Does this land have a clan system? Or, would it be useless to try and recruit others, to try and discover more about the ones who've imprisoned us?
[...And then, she lays the chalkboard down, closing her eyes.]
My name is Telma.
...Also, if any of you have information on any summoned creatures - in my land, we named them Espers - inform me.
[With a slight nod, Telma gives the slighest of smiles, turning back to a neutral look.
A few moments later, the video turns off, Telma returning to gripping her Totema. Yes, she'll be ready to chat with anybody, if they come up to her.]

[So many curious, talking creatures that walk these plains! Is this some sort of bunny? But then come lots more questions to mind.]

Good day to you, Miss Telma, I am Kodachi. I was curious to know how a 'clan system' works. Is it like a school club?

And would you not count as a 'summoned creature'?

What do you mean 'what is a school club'? .. Actually, I shall explain. It is an organization of students whom work togeather for a common goal. For example a Kendo Club is an organization of students whom perform kendo. A chess club contains students who play chess.

[She raises a brow.]

I see, I believe where I come from we'd call you mercenaries. How interesting! But I'm afraid I do not know of any espers.
never_go_back: (They call her Kodachi)

Humes? Is that what you call our race? [She seems amused, thought.] That's a cute naming scheme, I hope that catches on. And what is your race called?

[She withdraws a black rose, then places it in her mouth.]

Ah, yes, I am called Kodachi, the Black Rose. And it's no trouble, it's difficult to ignore someone with such an interesting creature.

I am rather fond of wild animals you see.

[Cue one very confused Terra on the video. The only Esper she knows about is the frozen one in Narshe... but this is the first person who's ever even mentioned them since coming here. Even if she appears to be some sort of magical creature herself.]

You... know about Espers?

We... did. Or still do, I suppose. But they live in their own world, and sealed themselves off from ours.

[Terra had only seen one other Esper before, and it had done... something to her. Freed her from Imperial control, at least. But it had been a giant bird too. Different from this Phoenix, but still...]

That was more than a thousand years ago. But there may still be some who were left behind. The Empire, where I come from, is hunting them.
