video / action for anyone in whitewood
[ as the video begins, there's a brief moment where everything is a blur, a sign that whoever has the device is on the move. eventually, the feed stops, and is stopped on a very pissed off fire demon. a little ways behind him is Kurama, who seems just as frustrated at their... situation. ]
Are you capable of reaching it, Hiei?
Hn, of course! I'll snap its wings off if I hav-- [ that sentence goes unfinished as a small fairy swoops down out of nowhere, smacking Hiei in the face. he gives a loud grunt, slightly startled for a moment, but soon enough he recovers, growling as he flares his energy up. ]
If another one of these annoying little shits hits me again, I swear I won't hesitate to burn them alive...-- [ as if on cue, a few more fairies appear, smacking and yanking at the smaller demon's head. he gives a shout, growling and swatting at them away. the fairies are persistent, though, and after a few failed attempts at getting them away, Kurama quickly enters the picture once more, struggling to help get the fairies off him as well... at least until Hiei's energy rises again. ]
Hiei, stop. You'll burn this entire village! [ unfortunately Hiei doesn't seem to be listening, as he readies to fling fire at the nearest fairy. Kurama pulls him back, effectively stopping him from continuing, though, soon enough, there's the sound of a mischievous giggle from off screen. the two of them glance back up to the video, frowning once again. soon enough, Hiei disappears from his spot, and there's a brief yelp before the feed rapidly shifts and eventually ends.
(anyone who's nearby to witness that entire episode will see Hiei coming close to slicing the fairy in half) ]

What was the name of the inn? Where we stayed, that first day.
no subject
Back home, you mean? When we first met?
[And then he grins at her, a little, remembering. It certainly had been an interesting day.]
The High Flute.

That will work as well as anything, no?

[She tilts her chin downward, thoughtful, and then continues.]
You'll have to repeat it every time we see each other. Or speak, for that matter.
no subject
That much repetition will make it much harder to keep the phrase a secret, I think. Perhaps you ought only ask me for it if you have reason to doubt that I am...me.
[There is no way to say that sentence without sounding like an idiot.]
no subject
You're right. But you'll forgive me if I am overly cautious sometimes. There are times I'll want to be doubly sure it's you.

Can you blame me? Unless you want me bedding him by accident.
no subject
Might be an interesting comparison.

Especially when he wonders why I'm pursuing someone who happens to be my brother's doppelganger.
no subject
A fair enough point. Perhaps I will leave it to your discretion, then.
no subject
Such a considerate brother you are.
no subject
It's not much, but it's all he feels he can do here, where anyone could see them.]
no subject
What did he say to you?

no subject
To me as well. Perhaps he is being purposely nondescript.

[And in that, too, they are similar - Kurama's loathe to give out any information about himself to others.]
no subject
That's a fair point. Perhaps it's best if none of us know too much about each other.
no subject
[He can't quite say he agrees with her, though - his curiosity is nagging at him to learn more, although only inasmuch as he can obtain the information without having to give up too much about himself. If his double is as cautious as he, though, that could prove a very difficult undertaking.]

At a later time, perhaps.
