No+thing at all. I'm just interested in hearing abo+ut o+ther peo+ple. The human experience in particular is fo+reign to+ me.

I'm an alien. Humans are quite different fro+m my kind.

Yep. Fro+m a different planet and everything.

Oh...! I've never seen an alien before. Can I see you?

[genitrix]

[She switches over to video, revealing a grey-skinned alien girl with blank white eyes, facial piercings galore, black hair, and candy-corn horns atop her head. She's smiling in a way that's friendly, not threatening.]

Ta-da.

Wow—!

[This is exciting, apparently.]

[genitrix]

[Porrim inclines her head.]

Assuming that's a good 'wow'.

[She nods, looking earnest.]

This is cool!

[genitrix]

Thanks, then. I think your kind are just as interesting.

[smallskull]

Oh. [That brings her up short for a second, since she doesn't quite qualify as a human anymore.] I guess that makes sense. There are a lot more humans than aliens here, though, I think.

[genitrix]

That's true. I'm very much in a minority here.

[smallskull]

But that means you get to learn a lot, right?

[genitrix]

Exactly. That's a good way of putting it.

Okay. I was worried you might feel alone.

[After all, she feels alone all by herself, even if her situation is a little different.]

[She has a moment of heart-melting weakness, which manifests itself physically in the form of her laying a hand alongside her cheek.]

[The reply Porrim receives is somewhat puzzled.]

[She straightens again, flushing a pretty jade color.]
