[ The feed opens up with a male rubbing his temples gently, probably not noticing that he's finally connected to the network. This really is a mess and he's trying to get his thoughts straightened out. He opens his eyes and blinks, looking at the screen with his head tilted a bit, his annoyed expression turning into a curios one. ]

... Oh, it's on-- G-Good day. Since we're all in the same mess, I figured introductions are in order. My name is Chrom, Exalt of the Halidom of Ylisse. I'm currently in Highcrest right now. I hope we can all get along and find a way back home.

[ He smiles, though it doesn't last too long. ]

Now, on to more personal matters. If there's anyone else from Ylisse here, I'd like a reply. I know Robin has made a message, but I'd feel better if you reported to me as well. [ Mainly because people won't accuse Chrom of being fake. Sorry, bro. ] We can try and make some sense of our current situation. And figure out this double Robin situation as well...

[ He gives a small smile and a nod before the feed ends, for now. ]

An exalt is a ruler. My sister was Ylisse's ruler after my father.

She was great and I can only hope to continue her legacy.

Oh, and while Kay is typically a chipper soul, her face falls a little. ]

So, your sister... I'm sorry. I understand how you feel, though.

[ He offers her a sad smile and a small nod, as if to say "thank you". ]

She was a kind woman. Someone I looked up to. [ Pause. ] I apologize for making the mood rather down or if I brought up any memories.

[ Kay shakes her head quickly, one gloved hand closing over the golden pin on her muffler. ]

I'd rather remember than forget. If you look up to someone, you've gotta keep those memories alive so you know what you're fighting for, right?

That's true. She's pretty much the reason I kept moving forward. [ He didn't want to fail. He wanted to continue the work that Emm started. ] Even now, I still have to keep fighting.

Do you have someone like that?

My dad! Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted to be like him. He never gave up in what he believed in and he'd do whatever it took to bring the bad guys to justice.

He's still my hero.

[ He smiles at her answer, nodding his head gently. Her admiration for her father reminds him of his own daughter, someone o wanted to follow in his footsteps. ]

I'm glad you have someone like that. We need more do-gooders in the world. Your father was a caring person, from what I can tell.

He was the best!! [ all enthusiasm. You should've seen her when she was ten, Chrom. ] And even if he's-- not around anymore, I-- [ she falters slightly, because after everything, even seven years later, some wounds are still so fresh. Knowing what she does now makes it even more painful, but she squares her shoulders anyway. ]

I still want to carry on his legacy. Not that he was a king or anything like that, but it's just as important to me!

[ He smiles at her words. He didn't remember much about his own father so there's some envy in him. He doesn't dwell much on it however. Talking about death must be difficult, especially for someone so young like her. ]

I think your father would have been very proud of you, for wanting to carry out his legacy. Family is important after all. [ He had Lissa to look after, and his daughter. Chrom chuckles a bit. ] Your enthusiasm is pretty contagious, you know.

I want it to be! I know a lot of gloomy people, but I think it's better to smile when you can. [ and she'd made a promise, after all. ] Not to mention, you look a lot better when you're smiling, sir!

That's true. Happiness should be spread.

[ He blinks at her comment. ]

Ah, you think so? I don't think I've heard that before... [ At least, worded like that. Sure his people and friends wanted him to be happy. ]

Never? Do you frown a lot or something?

I wouldn't say that... I guess I have a serious aura around me, with my title and all. [ He likes to think he's a pretty friendly guy. ]

Well, yeah--! Exalted makes it sound like you should be standing grandly on a cloud with golden light shining all around you!

But this is okay.

[ Chuckles. ]

Sadly that's not the case. It's a lot of work ruling a land. I'm glad we're a peaceful place, and that my sister was a kind ruler. [ He's really proud of Emm. And he admires her work as well. ]

I can only hope to live up to her expectations.

I think you'll be fine! I mean, I'm not a subject or anything, but you don't seem like the kind of person who'd be lazy and mean-- you definitely seem like one of the good guys to me!
