So the anti-magic field generator should be easily completed once I have those supplies. I sent a message to the dimensional kidnappers. The communication disruptor will need... hmmmm... I may have to adjust that if I want to communicate through the systems.

[Then he looks directly at the camera, as if only just noticing it's recording.]

Ah! Hello again, citizens of all the districts! I wonder if you can do me a little favor in my quest for world domination. Now I don't usually ask for these but perhaps I could do with some henchmen here - or henchladies, they can work just as well!

[A small, evil giggle.]

You see, I need someone to run errands and pick up supplies and deal with the more unfriendly types around this place while I work on my inventions! The running around is interrupting my science!

[His face falls then, he turns his head to Insano.]

Two good reasons to consider. I can rip your throat out and you have no way to stop me.

You stay back. Or you may be surprised.

Why do we need these technological contraptions when we can talk face to face!

Surprised how? [He makes a jab at Insano's gut.]

Why? Because I happen to like having long ranged communication and I'm not about to let you mess with it.

[He bumps back into the table again, then raises his hand palm outward in what he may think is a threatening manner but really looks as if he's merely about to give Shadow a slap.]

Don't you do that again!

[Guess who's not worried? He lunges at Insano with the intent to pin him to the wall.]

[With a yell, Insano launches a stream of green lightning from his palm. It should be at least enough energy to knock Shadow back.]

[It's more than enough. He has a notable weakness against projectile and energy blasts and he had no idea, considering how that came out of nowhere.

He backed right the hell away and eyeballed Insano with disbelief. Maybe not so defenseless after all!]

Ha!

[Now he looks pleased - and more than a little crazy as he bursts into manic laughter.]

One of my secret weapons! Now you know that I will not be doing everything that you tell me to do!

[Quite the upset, but Shadow has other tricks up his proverbial sleeves. With a snarl, he dives forward into one of the shadows cast by the tables and disapears into it as if it were a hole in the ground.

He's gone, hiding, one with the darkness. Waiting for a moment to strike back at Insano.]

[Insano stares at where Shadow disappeared, silent for a long moment before he shrugs.]

I never knew that there was an inter-dimensional portal under that table.

[But he thinks he'll check that out later. Meanwhile, back to work! And so he blithely picks up some wires on the table and starts fiddling with his contraption, assuming that Shadow has simply run away.]

[Nope. He's just coming out right behind Insano to jump at him for round two. Let's hope he has better luck with a sneak attack?]

[Insano is muttering to himself, concentrating purely on what he's doing.]

No, that doesn't go in there. I'll have to find a red wire. Yes! That'll work better.

[Shadow uses tackle!]

[There's a scream of surprise and he goes down.]

Help!

[He gets on Insano's back and places his paws on his shoulders to keep his arms down.]

Now what where you saying?

I was saying... HELP!!

No... [Sigh.]

Before all that. [And who's going to help him anyway?

But never mind. He has an idea. He gets off Insano and gets directly in front of the communication disrupting device.]

Come on now, Insano. At least make it a challenge for me. [Which is risky because Insano could easily lay on the hurt on him with that blast of his. If all goes well then Insano will just destroy his toy instead.]

[Feeling the weight lift off his back, Insano cautiously turns around. His shifty-eyes can't be seen but he's calculating the pros and cons of launching another electrical attack or simply running out of the door - or into that shadowy portal under the table that must be there...]

The red wire.... I need one of those!

Because it would make the communication disruptor work perfectly and... oh, you don't want that, do you? But you did ask what I was saying!

[At his side, his hand flexes as if reading itself for another attack.]

[He resumes sitting in front of the device muscles ready to spring away at the last minute.]

Are you going to attack me again?

[If he needed an answer, Shadow got up, his shoulders hunching as he snarled threateningly. Come on! Attack already!]

Eeep!

[OK, that wasn't a good sign and Insano did feel threatened again. How could he get this lion creature to leave? Obviously talking him down wasn't going to do a lot of good so maybe he could banish Shadow again to the... err... shadows.]

How did you even get through my door... I thought I locked it.... Go away!

[And there it was. Insano suddenly spreads his hand and another bolt of lightning shoots toward Shadow.]
