[Dr. Insano is reading a checklist aloud, seemingly to himself at first.]

So the anti-magic field generator should be easily completed once I have those supplies. I sent a message to the dimensional kidnappers. The communication disruptor will need... hmmmm... I may have to adjust that if I want to communicate through the systems.

Let's see. What else?

[Then he looks directly at the camera, as if only just noticing it's recording.]

Ah! Hello again, citizens of all the districts! I wonder if you can do me a little favor in my quest for world domination. Now I don't usually ask for these but perhaps I could do with some henchmen here - or henchladies, they can work just as well!

[A small, evil giggle.]

You see, I need someone to run errands and pick up supplies and deal with the more unfriendly types around this place while I work on my inventions! The running around is interrupting my science!

So! If you're interested, send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

[Shadow doesn't like to bully the weird ones, but he likes his communicator and he'll break Insano's toys if he has to.]

Now that sounds like you're either going to join me or... Well, I'll just wait for you here then.

[And so he does.]

[For a talking lion he's fairly well dressed. A sweater, slacks and a jacket over his shoulders. He enters the apartment without knocking and slinks right in.]

Insano. Guess who?

[Insano has his back to the door, working on something on a table. He turns as he speaks.]

Mechakara? Ahh!

[He lets out a girly scream then regains his composure.]

Oh. The talking lion, yes...

Mechakara? [He smiles widely at the girly scream. It was comical, and he was starting to like Insano for that very reason.]

Shadow. Now, what were you planning to do exactly?

[ooc: Totally unrelated, but I went to highschool with Linkara.]

Shadow, yes, yes.

What am I planning to do? Why, rule the world, of course!

[ooc: Oh, wow. Cool. :D]

I got that part. What about the short term evil plots?

[He hesitates.]

Why should I tell you all of my plans?

[As if he hasn't already blurted most of them out already.]

You might be trying to stop me! Are you trying to stop me?

[He chuckles blandly to himself, followed by a low rumble uttered under his breath. He approaches Insano, getting dangerously close to his perosnal bubble]

Curiosity is a big weakness of mine.

And I'm a pretty big kitty, you really want to disappoint me?

[He backs away a few steps then hits the edge of the table, winces and puts out his hand.]

Wait!

Well, right now I'm working on the communication disruptor since I'm still waiting for the parts for my anti-magic field generator.

[He stands on his hind legs and looks about on the table, walking forward to get a good look.]

Which one would that be?

[There are various wires and other tech gadgets in various stages of disrepair, lying broken on the table. It doesn't look very organized or promising.]

The communication disruptor! Or it will be when I finish it.

I don't like it. Scrap it. [Now, at this point he's just wondering if his simply demanding something will actually work on Insano. He's already made it clear he's willing to hurt the mad scientist, right?

And unless Insano has something that can hurt him he's got the upper hand here.]

I like the magic barrier thing you're cooking up. But leave the communications alone.

And why should I listen to you? You're not the boss of me!

[His face falls then, he turns his head to Insano.]

Two good reasons to consider. I can rip your throat out and you have no way to stop me.

You stay back. Or you may be surprised.

Why do we need these technological contraptions when we can talk face to face!

Surprised how? [He makes a jab at Insano's gut.]

Why? Because I happen to like having long ranged communication and I'm not about to let you mess with it.

Hey!

[He bumps back into the table again, then raises his hand palm outward in what he may think is a threatening manner but really looks as if he's merely about to give Shadow a slap.]

Don't you do that again!

[Guess who's not worried? He lunges at Insano with the intent to pin him to the wall.]

[With a yell, Insano launches a stream of green lightning from his palm. It should be at least enough energy to knock Shadow back.]

[It's more than enough. He has a notable weakness against projectile and energy blasts and he had no idea, considering how that came out of nowhere.

He backed right the hell away and eyeballed Insano with disbelief. Maybe not so defenseless after all!]

Ha!

[Now he looks pleased - and more than a little crazy as he bursts into manic laughter.]

One of my secret weapons! Now you know that I will not be doing everything that you tell me to do!

[Quite the upset, but Shadow has other tricks up his proverbial sleeves. With a snarl, he dives forward into one of the shadows cast by the tables and disapears into it as if it were a hole in the ground.

He's gone, hiding, one with the darkness. Waiting for a moment to strike back at Insano.]

[Insano stares at where Shadow disappeared, silent for a long moment before he shrugs.]

I never knew that there was an inter-dimensional portal under that table.

[But he thinks he'll check that out later. Meanwhile, back to work! And so he blithely picks up some wires on the table and starts fiddling with his contraption, assuming that Shadow has simply run away.]

[Nope. He's just coming out right behind Insano to jump at him for round two. Let's hope he has better luck with a sneak attack?]
