(She's wandering around the streets--specifically one with bright neon lights. After roaming one-fourth of Crystalden, Tifa is getting a little exhausted as well.)

This place is soo big. . (Back in Midgar, there would be tall skyscrapers and certain flashy devices, but nothing as advanced as this. It soon gets near evening time and Tifa is just overwhelmed by her surroundings. It's almost breath taking and confusing. The constant arrogant pedestrians aren't helping as well. It's as if they don't even notice her. A few say hi, but just enough to get by. Tifa pouts a little, and takes out her communication device she received not too long ago.)

How do you work this thing. .? Hmm . .

(She's fiddling with her device just a little. It is a communication device. . right? Not realizing, she turns on the camera feature. As if her own communication device was watching her--or anyone at that moment. after a few minutes pass by, she looks up--almost feeling a little melancholy. She looks up to the night sky that passes the tall bright sky scrapers.)

I hope anything didn't happen to Marlene and the others.

A man dressed like a doctor with a long lab-coat and very strange goggles is asking nearby people a brief question and throwing his hands up in frustration each time they give him a rude answer.

"You're very unhelpful!" He screeches then whirls around with his back to Tifa as if the nearest person had disturbed him somehow. "What did you say?! I'll tell.... somebody! Just you wait--!"

And he's backing away as he speaks, either colliding or almost colliding with Tifa.

Tifa feels a sudden pressure hit her from behind. Luckily, she has a strong enough figure to hold herself, but the impact is slight. She falls front a bit thinking it's another rude pedestrian.

"Hey, you should bec--" She pauses to notice as she turned around to see a man quite dressed differently from the crowd. Could he be someone who just arrived just like her. . ?

"You wouldn't happen to come from another place, have you?" She asked in a gentle yet curious tone of voice.

He peers at her, although it's difficult to tell where exactly he's focused since his eyes are masked by the swirly-lensed goggles.

"Another place? If by that you're saying I don't live here, I don't! Or I do but I've only just been plucked from my own world and thrust into this one!"

That would be a yes.

"Another world. . ?" Tifa is a little dazed by this thought. Could their be other planets other than her own? Tifa snaps out of her small daze to come back into reality. She finally has someone's attention.

"Glad to see someone is interacting for once! Most people here are. . strange and rude." She replies in acknowledgement. Tifa felt a weird presence in the inhabitants here in her district. Almost as if they were programmed to be this way. Tifa is just relieved to see someone in her situation.

"Indeed they can be very difficult, especially when you're trying to find important items for your greatest scientific invention!" He sounds frustrated but then clears his throat and introduces himself. "I am Doctor Insano and you looks somewhat familiar."

She chucks to herself in amusement. That's a funny name to her! "Do you know me from somewhere?" "Other than that, It's nice to meet you, Doctor Insano. You can call me Tifa. I reside here in this district."

"Tifa... Tifa..," he muses as if trying to place her name. "Hmm, no! I don't know why it's familiar!"

He shrugs.

"Anyway... Moving on. I've only been here for a couple of days. Have you lived here very long?"

Only a day. It's. . interesting living here. So, do you remember how you got here?

(Tifa enjoys the city life but not too much. She has people to tend to back at her world.)

Not all the details but I'm certain that it is more magic than science!

Those two - that king and queen or whoever they really are - did they tell you anything? From what I've noticed they're responsible for all of this!

Hmmm. . I should try approaching them, but I'm sure it'll be hard reaching them. They are King and Queen for a reason! How long have you resided here, Doctor Insano?

A couple of days. Didn't I say that already?

[He looks confused.]

I keep saying the flashy lights are far too flashy! They're all acting like neuralyzers!

Oh, must have slipped my mind. I apologize. Ever since arriving here, my mind has been a little hazed. But, I'm fine!

I agree with you there! But, it's a little exciting if you're with the right people, Doctor. (She chuckles softly.)

You know, the right people. The ones you trust with your life!

[Laguna happens to be out and about - but mostly, he's going shopping. Why?

Well, he recently got a robotic Moomba he could control with his communicator - so, he won't need to leave that often, he can see though it. However... he still needs supplies, so he can survive.

That's how, as he carries a few bags full of odd supplies, he notices Tifa. And freezes - she's back to normal too? But does she have amnesia like Light? He lets out a bit of a garbled gasp, before approaching - speaking slightly, his voice garbled.]

[She turns around to hear someone say her name in a strange way. She gets thrown into a strange country--different world at that fact and no one talks to her until now. Laguna, you're freaking her a little. The one person that actually acknowledges her knows her name. Startled by this, she observes the man and gives straight eye contact. She's a little jolted by this.]

Do I know you? [She backs away just a little. Have to be defensive when you're in this situation!]

[Laguna steps back a bit. She... well. He looks to the ground a little before giving a shake of his head - and suddenly whipping out his communicator (placing his bags in his Inventory), writing down his response - before it's spoken out.

He figured out the text to voice options! His crystal skin is kind of dull, as well, mind you - his highly burned skin slightly visible in the blue lights of the city.]
Kind of? We kind of...
I mean...
It's kinda a long story. Uh, I guess we don't, though. My name's Laguna Loire - and I'm from another world. I also live around here now!
[And then, he holds out his hand.]

(She notices his skin tone is..glimmering. With style at least! She's a little scared but that's probably because that she doesn't interact with one colored people often--especially with their clothing as well. She also takes note that he can't speak. She should be nicer with these types of things. Her guard loosens a little. She approaches the man.)

It's nice to meet you, Laguna! I'm glad to see someone who is finally giving me their attention. Oh, you reside here as well?

(Tifa smiles in comfort. She shakes his hand. His skin. . is not human. She averts her eyes for a second just to analyze this. Her eyes meet his again. Whether he's human or not, it doesn't matter. She has her own vary of companions at times. Not only is someone finally talking to her, but also resides in this district too! She raises an eyebrow ready to ask a question.)

Not to come off as rude, but how do you know my name?

I do - I live around that way a little? It's a short walk from here.
[Of course, Laguna... uh, well, he still doesn't know the way home that well yet. But, how does he know her name? Well... he gives a smile.]
As I said, long story. But the short version? I met you - well, uh, maybe not you. Anyway, the Tifa I knew was in a war between two gods - Cosmos and Chaos, and lots of people got dragged into it from different worlds. Kinda like this place, but with a lot more evil guys and a lot more fighting.
[Does he sound crazy yet, as he types away? No matter, he's gonna continue. Maybe she'll be more open to this idea then Light!]
We were allies - along with some others.

That sounds. . really complicating.

(She thinks to herself. Cosmos? Chaos? Well, I mean if other worlds exist, his story has to be true. She looks back at him with another smile.)

Well, if some other alternate version of me is friends with you, I don't see why not we can't be friends. Sounds crazy, but I believe you.

(There's a mutual trust that's being built in the atmosphere. Tifa senses she can trust him. His story does sound crazy, but what does she have to lose? Especially being in a different universe.)

[An alert signaling a video call pops up on Tifa's communication device; when she answers, the image of a very happy Turk fills her screen.]

Tifa?! Holy shit, is that really you? [For as cool as he's been trying to play it lately, he's actually immensely relieved to see someone from his own world. Sure, he and Tifa might not have been exactly what you'd label friends back home, but he's pretty sure she doesn't hate his guts anymore, and right now, she's he best thing he's seen all day.]

Damn, it's good to see a familiar face.

(Tifa looks down to see her communication device blinking. After answering the call, she sees a familiar turk.)

Reno? Is that you?! Nice to see you too. (There's a small hesitation. A lot of thoughts and questions rush through her head seeing someone back from their planet.)

When did you get here? Are the others here. . ?
(She's glad to see Reno, but if he's here, the possibility of the others brings her hope.)

So far it's just you, babe, but I ain't complanin'. Honestly, I dunno if I should hope more of us show up or not, seein' as we're stuck here and all. I've been here a little over a week, and still no explanations on why we're here or how we get back.

[Tifa chuckles to herself. It was just like Reno to use that analogy.]

I see. So there really is no way out. I guess we should get use to it then.

What district are you in by any chance?

Yeah, there's lots of people tryin' to figure out why the hell we're here, but for now it looks like the best we can do is hang tight 'til we get some actual answers... if we ever get any. I'm not holdin' my breath.

But yeah, I'm in this shit hole called Highcrest. What about you?

A general sentiment I think we all share, Miss. I suspect nearly everyone here has been separated from friends and family.

(She looks down at her phone to see someone of a strange hair style. She doesn't see ponytailed men often.)

Yeah, I think you're right. I'm just wondering why we were placed here. The name's Tifa! What is yours?

Would that I had those answers.

Same here. It's nice to see genuine folk' around here. Or at least on camera.

[Tifa chuckles to herself. But she's just glad she sees someone communicate with her. Everyone is just rude. :|]

Do you like your stay here, so far?

My stay has not been unpleasant, and I have not been mistreated, so I have precious little to complain about.

But 'like'? No. Something in this place sets all my instincts on edge. As though we are but waiting for something to happen.
