1st Conquest [video; action for Orlea]
[When the video opens, there's a long-haired warlord and his blue dinosaur of doom Lapras standing on the other side of the camera and, while the image is a little lopsided - a result of his phone having been carelessly tossed aside - anyone can see the two are having issues with the decor in their new house.
Which translates to the Pokemon shooting Ice Beams at every single corner of the house because the place is just not cold enough!]
I understand you miss the weather from Nixtorm, my friend, but I don't think this is the most appropriate way to make this new home more suitable to your ta-- aah!
[Mitsuhide doesn't get to finish his sentence because, well, he suddenly finds himself very busy trying to dodge another frosty attack, this time coming in his direction. Sometimes it's impossibly hard to keep his composure, but for some reason, he still tries, adding with a long-suffering sigh:]
... I suppose there is no way to convince you otherwise, is there?
[The Pokemon's only response is one last block of ice, which seems to miss the camera by very little. At least these things don't broadcast in 3D?]

My name alone shall suffice. [In response to how he should be addressed, that is. As for that other implication... well, that was a very educated guess, Shadow. He had far too many important matters to take care of back home, a war to put an end to.]
I have no intention to seize power for myself, if that is what you mean. [That sounds more like something his master would do.] I do, however, plan to return home as soon as possible, although the residents of his land are hardly cooperative.
[He will avoid fighting, if he can; but if there's no other way, then to war he'll go yet again.]

[ He gives a small hum, scratching at his muzzle in a manner that seems thoughtful, when really, it's just his body seeking movement. Those little traces of excitement does make him a bit more active. ]
Your M-... Mitsuhide. [ He coughs. Right. Keep to what this guy wants, Mr. Kawaiihog. ] If I may offer my services, we may be able to find our ways home. I am particularly fine at combat and investigation... or just anything that would come to your mind.
[ Shadow leans over, his nose wiggling as he waits patiently for any reactions. ]
What will you do?

CATCHBEFRIEND YOU, POKEWARLORD STYLE.]Your assistance will be of great value, master Shadow. [He replies with a bow of his head, his mind already going through a million half-drafted plans. If only lord Nobunaga were here, he would definitely know what to do...]
I'm afraid the people of this land either do not possess the knowledge or are not willing to share, so simply asking would be a fruitless labor. I do, however, hear that the rulers of this place welcome new warriors into their ranks, so perhaps that might be a good way to gather more information. And yet...
[And yet Mitsuhide already has a master, and he wishes to serve no one else. This is a problem.]

Mas--
Master Shadow? [ Wow, uh, he... can't ever say he's been called that before. He's not sure if that's flattering and ego-boosting or awkward and silly.
Well, it's still awkward either way, isn't it? He's just going to respond with that in mind. ]
I... insist that you call me Shadow. Really. [ That's totally fine. yeah. Better, even! ]
And yet what? Are the rulers difficult to cooperate with?
[ A pause. ]
... Ahem. Are they more difficult to cooperate with than I already thought? [ There. That's better. ]

If it is your wish. [A nod in acknowledgment, though he neither says nor does much else for the following minute or so. Even if this new acquaintance of his seemed smart and sensible enough, it was too soon to earn his full trust.]
As for the King and Queen, I cannot say. [It wasn't really what he was thinking about, but he can work with this.] But I do imagine one would have easier access to information, should he join their ranks.
[A pause.] You mentioned being skilled at investigation, did you not?

[ Investigating, battling, sneaking, manipulating... Shadow knows how to do it all. Mitsuhide just doesn't need to know that last part. You know, reasons. ]
Do you require my assistance in that regard? [ He seems thoughtful, cupping his chin (wait, he has a chin?) with his hand and giving the softest tilt of his head. ] I could do that. What do you have in mind?
