Rehearsal 2: [Video, from Astralfield]

[The video feed springs to life, revealing Victor sitting on his room's bed. He's looking calmer than he "sounded" when he first arrived -- then again, he's coming up on his two-week anniversary of his arrival here. He nods politely to whoever may be watching.]

Hello everyone. I'm finally starting to feel like I'm getting settled. I have a roof over my head, I've met some people both in person and over this mysterious network, I've managed to find where to get some new clothes and food --

[He pauses and looks off to the side for a moment, speaking in a softer voice.]

Fortunately managed to avoid having any nightmares. . .

[He shakes his head and looks back.]

Anyway, I have a bit of a question. I enjoy drawing, but I haven't been able to find my preferred instrument for drawing yet. Is there anywhere around here -- even in another district -- that might sell quill pens and ink?

On that note, if I do need to get to another district, what's the best way?

[ No comment on the nightmares - that's pretty personal and she doesn't know who this is after all. ]

Highcrest seems to have writing utensils like that. Quill pens, ink, parchments and the sort. Is that the kind of thing that you're looking for?

I'll have to take your word for it - I'm not very artistic myself.

I do live in Highcrest though. I could pick some pens and ink up, and bring it where you are, if you like?
tomboytendo: (Good mood <3)

[ She chuckles lightly. ]

There's nothing wrong with wanting the best for your art, right?

Akane Tendo. Nice to meet you...ah...

Do you? What's it like there? I have to admit I haven't spent much time in that area. [ Though she'd been considering moving, if only to get away from Kodachi the crazy. ]
tomboytendo: (Huh? Really?)

Sounds... interesting. But - the things you dream up become real? Why can't you just dream up a portable piano then?
tomboytendo: (Go on - I'm listening!)

[ Aw, she's just a bit disappointed by that. ]

That's a shame... but, I guess it's also got it's good side. I mean, if someone dreamed up something dangerous, it'd be rampaging all over the place, until someone took it down.

Maybe there's a piano being sold around here in one of the other districts? The more modern ones?
tomboytendo: (Buh?)

Hydra?

...... you mean there was one here?

Isn't that one of those mythological eight headed monsters or something?

Transportation between districts is pretty easy - you can walk from one to the other.

How many heads did it have when you saw it? If someone was fighting that thing ... how long have you been here?

I haven't heard anything about any hydras so I'd assume that it was gone too. Especially if it was dreamed up.

[ She looks thoughtful. ]

It depends on where you're trying to go- from where I am to Crystalden, it can take me anywhere from ten to thirty minutes, but if I was trying to get to the Plaza, it'd take me longer.

A fortnight... that's... two weeks right?

[ A nod at the description of Crystalden. ]

That's the one. I'd say factor in about half an hour to cross each district, if that helps. More or less anyway.

Oh, and I'd watch out for the fairies if you go into the Whitewood though.

Well, it's more that the fairies there hate anyone and everyone. They're prone to playing really mean pranks and worse.
